21.01.2022 Day 2 of the Dirranbandi Golf Club Open.....an amazing roll up of nearly 100 players taking to the field, we are very happy we made it happen despite the new world of COVID! A big thank you to Ron Irwin and Cubbie Ag for sponsoring the competition. Can't thank Keith Blunden Lorraine Crothers and Lynda Parbury for keeping the food up to everyone, also to Jess and Hannah who gave up a day over the weekend to make food serving COVID safe.....Our bar girl Amanda Smith had a big ...weekend keeping up beverages to the thirsty crowd along with Shane Overs supplying the ice. Thank you to all the players for making the effort to come out especially when our course looks the best it's looked in a long time thanks to Lenny Bowen and his trusted mower!! 11.01.2022 Well what a weekend for our 54 hole Club Championships, yesterday can only be described as windy windy windy and cold, however with better conditions today we managed to get there with some pretty amazing scores considering the conditions. Men’s A Grade Champion Douglas Crothers with 3 under for the weekend! 11.01.2022 Inspired by Jacque Hemming and her blue tree on the St. George Road and the Blue Tree Project, a few of us have wanted to paint the tree behind the 6th green at the Golf Club.....today we made it happen, we might have bitten off more than we could paint but we are happy with our efforts...The Blue Tree Project is about spreading the paint to spread the message that it's ok to not be ok to help spark difficult conversations and encourage people to speak up when battling mental health issues. A big thank you to Donna (painter extraordinaire) Peggy, Sue and Kurt (pretty sure he thought we were completely bonkers but went along with it.)

06.01.2022 Mixed Foursome 27 hole Championships today, 9 teams battled it out in beautiful conditions. Donna Hooper and Shane Overs won the Gross with 115. Mother and son team Phyllis and Tony Howard won the Nett convincingly. Thank you to Michele Hadenfeldt for plying us with delicious soup and buns!

02.01.2022 A big field for the first day of the Dirranbandi Golf Club Open 4BBB with over 70 players. The outdoor setting because of COVID 19 restrictions worked well. Men’s winners for the 3rd year in a row Lloyd Crawley and Tony Howard with a massive 51 points. Runners up Leslie Irwin and Greg Hamilton Mitchell. Ladies winners Poppy Cooper and Jane O’Sullivan on 46 points, so good to see our new players have a win! Runners up Sally Houston and Phyllis Howard.... Good luck today everyone, 930am for 10am start, close to 100 starters, can't be more excited about the roll up! Love our little club! See more
