05.01.2022 The RTC are trying to bring Business and Community Groups together into one Facebook page and Newsletter. We are hoping by asking you all to contribute to this we can move forward, so that our Business and Community can stay connected, and have a voice. This is not a buy swap or sell opportunity - it is for Business and Community information only. We have opened a Facebook page Dirranbandi Community Hub. And the Dirran Hub will slowly no longer be used. By doing this we will ...be able to make the facebook page open to you all to post the information, The Facebook page will hopefully go public this weekend. We will also be posting the newsletter there, as well as printing it. We are looking to start the Newsletter by Friday the 26th June 2020. We are hoping that you will become part of the movement to bring business and community into a Hub where people can access information about yourselves, your business, or your community event. At this stage we are seeking from your Business 1. an advertisement that we can put in the newsletter and on the Facebook page. 2. We would also love to hear if you have a promotion or an event happening by putting a write up and photos onto our page. We can then pick it up and add it into our newsletter. Community groups - we would love to hear what is happening in your organization 1. Your current committee who is in the current positions. 2. When your next meeting is, the venue and time. 3. What is happening within your group and any information that the community would be interested to hear. 4. Before and after any community event, a write up and some photos would be fantastic to promote it, and for the community that may not have been able to attend to enjoy looking at some of your photos. We will also have a calendar of current events listed in our newsletter. If you have a meeting or event we would love to hear about it, and circulate to the wider community on your behalf. I am sure there will be teething problems, but please contact us if we have published something that is incorrect. This innovation is for the community so please spread the word amongst your contacts. We would love to have everyone in Dirranbandi involved with this, to bring the community together and keep us all connected.

03.01.2022 We are trying to bring Businesses and Community groups together in one area, whilst combining it into a newsletter. Hopefully this will be a one stop shop for the Shire, Community and Businesses to be able to promote our community. So head over to Dirranbandi Community Hub and like the page. It is now Public. If you fall under a community group or a business please feel free to update the community about what is happening.
02.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/groups/2630935270341657/?ref=share This is the link to our new group, which we are hoping will bring business and community to one page! Please go and join as this page will eventually no longer be in use
02.01.2022 The drought in the Balonne Shire is far from over, and Council is urging primary producers and rural workers to apply for the $3000 one-off payment from the Dr...ought Community Support Initiative (DCSI) Round 2. There have also been changes to the Farm Household Allowance (FHA) which could enable more farming families to receive the government assistance. We would appreciate your help in spreading the word to our drought affected rural families.
02.01.2022 Don't forget our facebook page has changed. We can now be found at Dirranbandi Community Hub...this is a public page for local community groups and businesses to share their events and updates.
02.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS Dunroman Hunting has re-opened for our Qld hunters and thank you to those who have made bookings. Hopefully it wont be long before we... can welcome back our NSW & VIC hunters as well. As many of you will have been in confinement for the past few months, you may be in desperate need of some Wide Open Space Therapy which we have available in bucketloads! Space, peace and quiet, great weather with warm days and cool nights perfect for beers around the bonfire. CROPS We have had a busy few months. All our winter crops are in - wheat, barley and chickpeas Yay!!! Very exciting, took a bit to blow the cobwebs and hornets nests out of the planting gear but it is mostly all up and away. We even managed to grow enough millet to bale. We are doing our best guys to get that pig hunting off grain stubble going for the end of the year. GAME There are a few pigs getting about, a mob has been coming onto the millet stubble. Paul has just started to put some old grain out to bring them in. Well give it a few more days then put up the cameras to see what is about. There have been good fox and cat numbers around, recent hunters got 4 foxes and 3 cats. Have also been some good billys getting about, these same hunters took home a good set of trophy horns. AVAILABILITY We have plenty of vacancies in July, September and December and a few openings in October and November, so please message if you would like to check on specific dates or have any queries at all. RE-OPENING SPECIAL As we have no one booked in until June 25th wed like to offer the following special to get this show back on the road! If you book and hunt before the 25th June for at least 2 nights and with 3 hunters/non hunters the 4th person stays for free. They can be hunters or non-hunters, doesnt matter. We look forward to welcoming our hunters back to Dunroman. Kind regards Paul & Sally
