25.01.2022 Wondering how you'll "bounce back" from your birth? Newsflash! We're not meant to! Woman-up and step FORWARD into your new self, new role, new state and be happy, quiet, loud, strong, vulnerable. Be the mother you need to be for you and your children and don't apologise for who that might be.

22.01.2022 This speaks to the scientist in me. You grow your baby until your body has reached its metabolic limit. Then you birth it through your evolutionarily ideal female hips.

18.01.2022 "The plastic ones are sterile, have stood the test of time and are easy to apply." Bahahaha! Sterile? Not so much once they're out of the packet. And you can sterilise the alternatives just fine. And the test of time being since the introduction of consumable plastics i assume? Rather than the hundreds of thousands of years of birth that happened before that. Easy to apply? I'm pretty good at tying my shoe laces, reckon I could handle tying off a cord nice and tight. Add to that the environmental impact of disposable plastic items. Yes they do the job. But so do the alternatives. Neither is right, wrong or 'dangerous'. So get creative!

16.01.2022 I was in the Salvo's store at the Jamison centre today and there were a lot of good quality maternity clothes on the racks FYI

11.01.2022 I work really hard to make it seem like I do nothing.

10.01.2022 If you're not quite ready to jump on the reusable menstrual products bandwagon but are looking for alternatives to the bleach and plastic laden products out there then you should check out this socially responsible company that uses all natural materials. Plus they use a talking vagina in their advertising.

10.01.2022 I officially graduated as a doula tonight. I'm so proud to stand as a member of the Canberra doula community. Contact me to discuss how I can support your birth in 2017.

10.01.2022 Past clients, or anyone who has birthed in the ACT in the last 5 years, you might be interested in participating in this study. See the flyer for details.
