24.01.2022 Our village well spa is taking shape and there’s a very special surprise in the making! Details are everything and our amazing stonemason has been doing mock-ups of this spa cladding over and over until every stone has told us it’s home. It feels right, right for the people who will live here and the stories that make them feel at peace Andrea Tomaselli

21.01.2022 I’ve always loved this garden from many years back. It’s energy swept you up so powerfully and every view so different but meaningful to each member of the family. The story of the teepee and nautilus shell firepit is being replayed in one of our current projects .. as the beauty emerges under loving, careful, dedicated hands, the way it affects all who visit and work there changes. They pause, drawn to what’s taking so much time. The love is felt, they respect the work immen...sely, there’s more harmony between the people onsite. To be so proud of one’s work that your very best is done each day, that you leave feeling your heart is in that place - this energy is felt by others long after you’re finished. Same same if it is negative. I remember the quiet of this job, the arresting power of the stone teepee turned people inwards, stopped conversations. For the stonemason, travelling a great distance every day to give it his very best, to leave his heart there, I am always grateful for his energy that changed many. For you Ben Bush, thankyou

20.01.2022 Fella’s, I’m a great advocate for the man cave, a place where a bloke can have a chat with a mate about stuff you weren’t taught you could talk about, and feel safe enough from judgement to do it. Well here’s the bloke who can do your grand entrance sign, it’s beautiful work!

19.01.2022 There’s so much I try to convey in the little details.. this is the base render for the walls around the village well spa. We’re aiming for an aged faded frescoe look that will be right at home with the pole pergola around the pool curve. It’s exciting to see the red disappear at last! Why go to all this trouble? Each detail belongs to a memory that together have a deeply meaningful comfort to my client, a feeling of times past in a village where things took time and were valued greatly. Where wisdom and kindness surpass anything material. The garden will prompt reflection on values of what’s really important - to all who visit and let themselves feel this. Truly beautiful

19.01.2022 I’ve always been drawn by the detail in nature, it’s like a little treasure for those who take time to search and notice. Early morning light was like a torch on these beautiful wildflowers today, what a treat! These will all grow in home gardens and be food for so many animals, birds and critters desperately needing chemical free habitats in suburbia. It helps us all

08.01.2022 In times of difficulty throughout history, beauty has uplifted and given hope. Tonight I want to share something exquisite unfolding with such beauty it brings me to tears. It is a dream project for a designer with so many ideas, so many things to see come to life.. I have been so fortunate to stretch myself with great encouragement from my client - a journey of self belief that has momentum that nothing can stop now. This drawing is the entry of a unique and truly beautiful home renovation. The stairs are now in, the garden and sculpture of ascending spiralling reflective light ribbons will stretch up to the skylights and the effect feels like it will just be mesmerizing. What a wonderful homecoming it will be every night for this family. Beauty transcends difficulty if we can just let it be the overarching thought

05.01.2022 So much grew in 2020, in an environment of extreme adversity at times and sometimes in great peace. We connected to Nature with a life giving urgency, we connected to each other with open hearts, we found the little things that matter. It took this kind of year to bring our focus back to that which gives our lives meaning. Here in my home, I went in search of my true self, the one before I cared what anyone else taught me I should be. When I draw, the pencil is in her hand ye...t guided by wisdom of ages. I’ve watched this over and over and marveled at how different the result is compared to what my mind had suggested. I trust this and go to my client with the ideas and watch as something unexpected wakes up in them. It’s just precious, this moment. I learned how this trust can let the unchecked in me shine and bloom and give more. I learned how easily negativity can become positivity with a lens of trust. Regardless of what form the unexpected comes (and doesn’t Nature show us this continually..) there is positive to be found, growth to be had, I just need to switch from instant focus to the long view. And trust. 2020 wasn’t as I expected, but it delivered opportunities I chose to take and am so very thankful for. I want to bring joy and wonder, to give people relief from all that weighs heavy and engage imagination - we need imagination for resilience. 04.01.2022 It’s Christmas Eve, so much may be upside down and unknown but in the garden, all is well and the sun just keeps coming up every day. We share our love of tending our crops now with this beautiful poignant sculpture by the lovely Savaad Felich, so generously donated to Healesville Community Garden. It’s called ‘Garden Companions’ and as I tried to capture its feeling this morning, our resident kookaburras let out a symphony. And there they were, nature’s companions grateful for the worm feast we provide from working in harmony with her. I wish you all a day of love tomorrow, wherever you choose to share it be sure you share love. 01.01.2022 Took a moment at just the perfect time to look up from the dreaded screen.. and there was Mother Nature, pirouetting across the sky painting this breathtaking rainbow. 2 minutes of sheer bliss I will never forget!
