21.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Ken, Joel and the Wheelchairs & Stuff team! We have closed for the Christmas break and will reopen on the 2nd of January at 9am. We wish you a happy and safe break.

17.01.2022 Today we remember Kerry Whelan 39 year old Kerry Whelan was last seen on Tuesday 6th May 1997, when she vanished from the Parramatta Park Royal Hotel, NSW. ...On this day, Kerry had driven to the Park Royal Hotel in Parramatta, telling her husband she had a 9am beautician's appointment. Closed circuit television cameras captured her walking up the ramp of the underground car park and disappearing from view. This was the last time Kerry was seen. She has not made contact with family or friends since this date. On the 7th May 1997, Mr Whelan received a ransom note for $1 million at his Kurrajong property. Bruce Burrell, a family friend and one-time employee of the businessman, although charged with Mrs Whelan's murder, never admitted to what he did with Kerry's body. Sadly, Bruce Burrell died in custody in August 2016, taking his secrets to the grave. Sadly, Kerry's husband passed away in November 2016, not knowing what happened to his wife, but her family have never given up hope of finding her remains so they can bury her with the love and dignity she deserves. If you have any information which can assist police in locating Kerry's remains, please call Crimestoppers 1800 333 000 and put an end to this family's suffering.

13.01.2022 When the Corona Virus finally exhausts itself and the danger is over, let's do something good for our country, Let's spend our holidays in Australia, eat in local restaurants, buy Australian products, buy local meats and veggies and support local businesses and support our Farmers. These businesses are going to find it very difficult to get back on their feet and survive without our help. They're suffering badly now. Our products are some of the best in the world. Our country is one of the most beautiful. Let’s look after it and its loyal people, not because of Bushfires, not because of floods, not because of viruses, but because we are Australian & we look after each other.

09.01.2022 Hi everyone, as you are all aware of the horrendous summer some country towns have just experienced with the fires, We were going to do a few road trips into ar...eas to spend a bit of money. Ruchi, my daughter suggested to take it one step further, and take a bus load to a few areas. Our first one is to Lake Conjola on the weekend of 14-15 March. I’ve checked out where to stay and it looks like Ulladulla which is 10 km away would be the best place for a group of 24 or so. Vic and Ross will share the driving and we are basically only just covering costs for the bus. Approximate cost would be $250.00 per couple. This covers fuel and the bus and accomodation. The plan is eat in the local cafes and restaurants and if you want to buy produce you can. If anyone is interested please let me know ASAP. The motel will probably want deposits so I’ll further message as we go. See more

05.01.2022 West Australian senator Jordan Steele-John has called for a comprehensive government plan for people with disabilities WA senator Jordan Steele-John. "People are very worried about what we are seeing in countries like Italy where disabled people are basically being asked to go to the back of the line and that vulnerable people across the community are not receiving the support and information that we need. And that is something that we cannot let happen here in Australia. And... if we act urgently now, if the Government takes an integrated, coordinated response, then we can make sure that vulnerable people, people who are at risk, are supported through this crisis and that is what the Greens are calling for. "What we need to be doing is using the various datasets that exist across the country in relation to what the support needs of disabled people are, where we live, where the workforce concentrations are, and combining that together with information about the healthcare system to ensure that disability service providers are supported, that NDIS participants are supported, to maintain those critical functions. "Because the reality is that for many vulnerable communities, including disabled people, we need support day-by-day to continue to live. "Folks need to help us do our shopping or to help us move around in the night so that we don't get bedsores. There is kind of a disconnect here. We cannot completely socially distance because we need to interact with people to be able to just get by, day by day. That's why we need a comprehensive, coordinated plan to support that workforce to continue, to support disabled people to continue to access what we need as the crisis develops."

01.01.2022 A momentous change for us today. Joel has finished working for us to follow his passion in the fitness industry. A cheery, fun loving, gangly kid, assembled and... test drove a pull apart scooter on the show room floor at our previous site under my instruction, the first time he worked for me. A bit over 10 years later. A cherry, fun loving, Man - capable with strength in heart & head, managed his own exit hand over professionally. In that bit over 10 years, Joel supported the organization and me personally above & beyond what anyone would or should expect. Most times with a smile & a chuckle sometimes when the boss deserved it, it certainly was NOT a smile & a chuckle ! He has been my right hand man for years and honestly if not for him, on two occasions - when I was ill and unfit for anything for many weeks, He took over the reins, I doubt the organization would exist if he had not. I am fortunate and better off for those 10 + years with Joel. I hope his future is better than his hopes & Dreams Ken
