01.01.2022 Disability Macarthur would like to send a big shout out to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard in Camden Inc. for their ongoing support to Disability Macarthur and the S...unflower Cottage at Narellan Vale. Recently Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard has assisted with updating much needed equipment at the Children’s/adult respite house. The Sunflower Cottage can provide short stays away from home for children or adults with a disability and high support needs which is located at Narellan Vale, the centre has been operating for over 20 years and was due for an upgrade to equipment used to help make the stay of the children or adults comfortable. Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard provided support with the purchase of new hospital beds with deluxe mattresses for comfort along with a hoist for lifting and an adult air chair for the use by clients with physical disabilities built for extra comfort. The staff are very grateful for the new washing machine and dishwasher that will make their lives easier during their busy days. Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard is a big supporter of the local community and is located at Elderslie near Camden. We ask if the local community could support this great charity which is operated by volunteers who give their time to run a Op Shop raising money for local projects and supporting residence in need in the local are.
