20.01.2022 Disabled Surfers Association Australia, through the efforts of our branch have been awarded a 2020 @WestpacFoundation Rural Community Grant in partnership with the @FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) to help create training opportunities for people in our local community. These grants are specifically used for training purposes; so the $10,000 grant will go towards opening a new Disabled Surfing branch at Clifton Beach, which is outside Hobart. Well be training up Red Shirts, Volunteers and Committee to give people with disabilities the chance to have the day of a lifetime at the beach and in the water! Many thanks to Westpac yet again (this is our 4th Grant) for their generosity and we look forward to opening up our 19th. branch in Australia and NZ!

If you are super keen to help... - Friday the 13th of March, from 10:00am: we will meet at Pt Leo General Store and head to Pt Leo SLSC to start a preliminary event set up.... - Saturday the 14th of March: at Pt Leo Surf Life Saving Club - from 7:30am for event/beach set up. - Saturday 14 March from 3pm for pack-up. We usually supply a bacon and egg brekkie for those that help set up early on Saturday. So come on down, volunteer-legends and join in the fun. For more info email: [email protected] or Drop us a PM.
