25.01.2022 Today marks 42 years since the closure of the Cheynes Beach Whaling Company here in Albany, and the end of whaling in Australia in 1978. Past whalers returned to the Station this week for a morning full of shared memories and stories. What are your memories of the Whaling Station during its operation? ... Perhaps you visited as a tourist to watch a whale being flensed, remember the smell drift over town, or had a family member who worked for the company? We would love to hear your stories, so share them in the comments.
