20.01.2022 We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter at the centre! Every room was involved in Easter celebrations including the children creating their own Easter egg collecting baskets to take on an Easter egg hunt at the centre, making our own hats for the Easter hat parade and we were even lucky enough to be visited by the Easter Bunny thanks to one of our Educator's Bec! You may have also noticed that we love an opportunity for a good dress up! Thanks to all of our Educators who made the day so fun and memorable for the children!

19.01.2022 On 23.4.20 we celebrated Anzac Day with a fire ceremony to discuss the Eternal Flame and teach the children about fire safety. The children also read Anzac Ted and cooked Anzac biscuits which were enjoyed by the children in all of our rooms.

18.01.2022 We are very pleased to announce that from Monday the 4th of May, our Nursery will be back in action! The reinstatement of the room will be completed this Friday when we lay the carpet. Unfortunately we have to wait until later this year for our striking pebble pattern carpet because it is made to order in France and the factory that makes it is temporarily closed. We wanted to keep the delay as short as possible though so we will be installing a different carpet for the time being! Thank you for your patience while we carried out the necessary work.

18.01.2022 On 20 March we celebrated Nowruz (Persian New Year)! Our Educators set up a table in our foyer to educate the children about the celebration of Nowruz and through the different items on display. The children also enjoyed activities in the Great Hall including egg painting, crafting paper flowers, making cards and enjoying traditional Persian music and dance. Children of all ages were encouraged to participate. Thank you to our Educators and families, especially Azadeh, Mahsa, Nima and Nemi!

16.01.2022 Thank you to all of our families for the beautiful messages for Early Childhood Educators' Day!

10.01.2022 Welcome back Nursery! We're delighted to announce that Matin and her team are back in the Nursery today! Thank you to all of our families and staff, particularly those in the K3 Science Room who have been patient and supportive with managing the temporary changes during the reinstatement.

10.01.2022 If there is sufficient interest we will be exploring the possibility of preparing meals for purchase at our service. Please let us know in the comments if you would be interested in children's meals from our current menu or new meals.

09.01.2022 Today we are starting our Lunch box program in the Four Year Kinder. As we are conscious of how disruptive Covid-19 has made this year for all children, we have taken numerous steps to keep them up to date and on track throughout this year. This is particularly important for the Kindergarten children who will be commencing school next year. ... As simple as it sounds, many children struggle with what to eat first at lunch (the fruit or the sandwich), what to do with the left-overs etc. We have considered this carefully and will be introducing a school lunch experience once a week for the duration of Term 4. This will include a lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit and a treat being delivered to the children at lunch time, packed in a school lunch box and labelled with your child’s name. The Teachers will discuss the process with your child and assist them to manage their lunch boxes. Towards the end of Term 4, we will extend on this program with the children learning to pack their own lunches. This program will also tie in with healthy eating, name recognition, responsibility, social engagement and manners.

06.01.2022 Please enjoy some of the artwork created by the children in our 2 Year Kindergarten program! These drawings were created in conjunction with this year's Book Week theme which was: Curious Creatures and Wild Minds. Thank you to the young artists who created these pieces and to our Educators for respecting their work by framing it and providing the artist's names and description of their work!

04.01.2022 A very big thanks to Janelle from Officeworks for gifting us a hamper of art and craft materials. We appreciate this generous gift and the children will love using it.

04.01.2022 What have the Kindergarten children been up to lately? -Each week children have been focussing on learning a new number and letter. These are taught by a teacher led group time each morning. The children are exposed to a range of different ways to learn letters and numbers including worksheets, play-based learning experiences, short educational videos and creative art activities. -Each day children are encouraged to participate in a yoga and meditation session. The intention... of these sessions is for children to engage in a program that fosters their concentration, mindfulness, coordination, balance and promote calmness and reduced stress. -The children have also been very excited about the hatching of the stick insects eggs. We have had over 30 babies hatch from the eggs. Each day the children love observing our stick insects in their terrariums to see if more have hatched. The children are learning how to be responsible pet owners and everything that comes with caring for stick insects.

03.01.2022 Staff member in the spotlight: Dona We wanted to recognise one of our fantastic Nursery Educators, Dona. Dona is a reliable and supportive Educator who always comes to the centre with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Her kind, patient and gentle nature make her particularly well suited to care for our youngest children in the Nursery room. Some of our Educators like Dona, are quiet achievers and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank her for the significant impact her efforts have and to let her know that we appreciate and respect her!
