25.01.2022 The Gold Coast came alive recently for The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Polo where DisplayWise were thrilled to work with Electric Blue to design and build an experiential activation like no other for The Star. The brief received by our design team soon became an outlandish idea that presented numerous design and engineering challenges. Inspired by The Star's branding, arrows influenced the shapes of the four-metre high structures to resemble a colourful garden of plants an...d palms. As leaves or fronds would fall naturally in a garden, the metal construction was built at different heights and angles, giving the illusion of soaring trees. As guests mingled underneath, a light mist fell from the arrowheads. The automotive giant attracted almost 1,000 delegates to hear the latest trends and experience hundreds of demonstrations over five days. Communicado approached DisplayWise to design a solution for 17 unique brands that sit under one huge brand u...mbrella. The result was a stylish, yet adaptable structure that allowed the individual businesses to activate their space with personalised brand colours, imagery, skins and lightboxes. 05.01.2022 DisplayWise Design & Production worked with our client Momentum Worldwide Australia to deliver the Heineken Zero Bar in Darlinghurst. Situated in a vacant shop front, the brand utilised this space to create a pop-up bar with a twist. Engineering students from Sydney University have developed two robotic arms that open and serve the alcohol-free Heineken Zer0.0. An Australian first, this could be the sign of social distancing innovations we can expect to see in the future. This is yet another example of the rapidly evolving retail landscape for the global automotive industry where similar activations have rolled out across the USA and Europe. Leave the grocery shopping till later - as the Ford brand meets their customers in familiar environments away from dealerships, they take it one step further with waiting vehicles in the valet are...a ready to test drive straight away. This semi-permanent activation boasts a raised vinyl floor to ensure durability over 12 months and tall lightboxes to capture attention from passing foot traffic. We expect to see a lot more of these activations in shopping centres as marketers keep ahead of industry trends and try to influence buyer behaviour.
