25.01.2022 Will you make it out in time? Labyrinth, running all day Tuesday! The real charm of this class comes in the shape of its exercises. Whilst it has mostly strength based exercises, its true focus surrounds exercises that target difficult movements. These are typically movements that you don't see often in other classes, and will really get your body working muscles it didn't even know it has. The goal here isn't always the heaviest weight, but rather mastering the technique.



25.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE It’s been a few days of crazy ups and downs. Following the latest advice from the South Australian government, we’ve been cleared to reopen. Our first classes back will begin from Monday morning, the 23rd of November. We would like to thank you for your support and can’t wait to see all your lovely faces in person again. 25.01.2022 NEW CLASS SCHEDULE! Weve got 3 brand new classes heading your way over January and February, so we hope youre ready! Rapid Fire is a high intensity class which will allow you to focus on agility based exercises, as well as a unique obstacle course each week.... Fit Minute uses the well known EMOM format to get the most out of your workout. Your effort and determination will decide how long you get to rest! Focus is our latest resistance based class, which provides structured freedom to choose which muscle groups you wish to work out most and to hit your personal goals. Mystery Class Wednesday is a new concept we are trying out. It will give us the chance to rotate in different classes every week. Some of your old favourites, and maybe even something new.

Whilst we are opening up again, we arent quite at the stage where we can go back to District 5 Fitness as normal. Please make yourself familiar with the following guidelines, handed down to us from the government in regards to the ongoing COVID restrictions. ... In particular, we would like to highlight the following: CLASSES WILL BE LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE (THIS WEEK WE WILL HOLD ONE PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLASS AT 9AM. DEPENDANT ON NUMBERS, THERE IS THE POTENTIAL TO INTRODUCE A SECOND 10AM CLASS AS WELL. WE WILL ANNOUNCE THIS IN THE COMING DAYS.) Similar to regular District 5 classes, these will be made available on a daily basis, which each day having a unique set of exercises and timings. Daily introductions and exercise explanations will be recorded and uploaded by Jess our superstar trainer. FREE EQUIPMENT HIRE. Equipment hire is available to anyone taking part in our home-based workouts. Available free, with the only requirement being that you pay a fully refundable deposit. ON-CALL SUPPORT FOR WORKOUTS & GOALS. The District 5 trainers will be able to guide you through your journey with support where required. If you are having trouble working out with what you have at home, or need help on how to best train given certain injuries, then the team can help you work through these problems via a Facebook group, phone call, email, or messages. 20.01.2022 MEMBER OF THE WEEK is back after a bit of a hiatus. But you gotta build up before you show a love like the one we have for this guy. Usually wed be asking our members of the week a few questions about why they love District 5 Fitness, but this post is reserved for everything we love about Trev. Trevor has been a long-standing member of the D5 community and we are yet to come by a more loyal guy. He has supported us through everything, he has volunteered his stretching resou...rces (tennis balls, rollers, even magazines to read while you do it!) He was also responsible for the longest male plank in our last 6 week challenge fitness testing (3:24), blowing most of the youngies out of the water, and has been the star of every Saturday yoga sesh! One thing we can never quite believe about Trev, though, is that if he participates in the last class of the day, our trainers often find him packing up and setting up for the next day before they even get the chance to! He will stick around and help us prepare for the next day, nothing but a smile on his face, and will not leave until we do. 17.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE Hello District 5 Community. As you may have already heard, the unfortunate news is that gyms in South Australia must close from midnight tonight until advised otherwise. Whilst there's no definite timeframe attached, hopefully it is only for around 2 weeks. Whilst it deeply saddens us that we can't continue to run classes in person during this time, we understand that the safety of the community and our members will always come first. As per th...e situation earlier this year, we will offer home-based workouts to keep your fitness going. Your support throughout 2020 has already been amazing so far, and we hope that you continue to support us going forward. All members should expect to see an email come through today advising of your available options. If you have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to send us a message. This legend has overcome so many barriers, both mentally and physically, to get herself to where she is today. She is a passionate advocate for mental health, one of the bravest people we know, and not even breaking her foot a couple of years back, could keep her away, training in a moon boot and not even missing a beat. We love you, @norms88 and can...t imagine our family without you FAVOURITE D5 CLASS: A tie between The Joker (love/hate) - its always a good workout it keeps things interesting and its a good cardio blast. Also yoga to stretch out all the sore muscles after a week of smashing it out HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A D5 MEMBER?: Ive been a member since the beginning of D5, and with the gym since early 2018 WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT D5?: The workouts never get boring, they work you hard. About half way through you think will this ever end but once its finished it feels very much worth it. But the main reason I love D5 is the trainers. They keep me motivated, theyre good at what they do and can spot sloppy technique and are kind in their corrections (my squats have gone from meh to yeh). They keep me smiling when I dont want to keep going and they make getting out of bed early in the morning an attractive option
