24.01.2022 Attention all dried out divers, the announcement you have been waiting as of midnight tomorrow Scubabo Dive Victoria is pleased to be the only dive boat on Vict...orian waters that can carry 8 divers to their favourite dive site and comply with the social distancing regulations. We have been preparing for the easing of regulations and have developed a management practice to mitigate the risks of infection spread whilst getting people back into the waters they love. Even though Seadragon has the largest dive deck on the bay we are still constrained to a maximum of 8 divers to meet the government's strict social distancing guidelines. This is something that we don’t want to exploit or risk breaking these rules as we appreciate the importance of stopping the spread of Covid 19. We are all extremely glad we can get wet again, so let's follow the rules, ensure that corona doesn’t spread again and let's get back diving!!

19.01.2022 A few photos of last nights absolutely incredible bioluminescence display in Jervis Bay! What can be seen as a red tide during the day, the microalgae Noctiluca scintillans produces a bright blue glow at night when it is disturbed. Truly an amazing sight to see!

16.01.2022 The sand in Okinawa, Japan contains thousands of tiny "stars". These "grains of sand" are actually exoskeletons of marine protozoa, which lived on the ocean flo...or 550 million years ago. A 1mm star! On the beaches of Okinawa in Japan, the sand is mostly made up of foraminifera, a one-celled organism that feeds on the minerals found in sea salt. You just have to take a handful of sand and look at it with a magnifyin glass to realize that the grains are pretty little stars. The same goes for Bermuda, where they also take on a pinkish color due to algae. These little stars are neither animals nor plants, and have been present on earth for 500 million years. These are not true starfish in the literal sense of the word, but protozoa, a mineral shell that can take many forms depending on the species, including a star. Their size generally varies from 38 mm to 1 mm. scientific-park .. le Figaro

14.01.2022 A 392-year-old Greenland shark recently discovered in the Arctic Ocean. Which means this shark was alive in 1627! Greenland sharks have a life of about 400 years. Most are blind because of an eye parasitic. Their meat is toxic and they don't attack humans. #weird nature

09.01.2022 This was an emotional moment for me! It was the first time I got to shoot underwater in the ocean in 2020! I can't tell you how excited I was to put on my tail ...and slip into the cold waters of Catalina Island with photographer Brett Stanley to play in the beautiful and somewhat eerie kelp forests! I finally felt like I was back in my element, going with the flow, and feeling connected. The ocean really is a miraculous healing frequency for me. This adventure has given me the strength to get through a challenging last week, dealing with a difficult landlady, and not knowing when I'm going to pack up my life, sell my belongings and fly out into the blue yonder. I just keep returning to the feeling of being in the kelp forests... just GO WITH THE FLOW. <3 PHOTO Brett Stanley MODEL Hannah Mermaid Decorative fins on my tail by Alicia Ward Braids Diva Dreads
