25.01.2022 Ocean Quest has a selection of moorings on Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs which all form part of the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef and are located approximately 50 km (30 miles) east of Cairns. Features of these reefs are pinnacles, lagoons, small caves & gutters and pretty coral gardens. The reefs display a huge variety of tropical marine life with colourful reef fish for example parrotfish, sweetlips, blue spotted stingrays, moray eels and sea stars. Pelagics are rather rare. You might come across small whitetip sharks and with a bit of luck barracudas or grey reef sharks. The typical features for the GBR are the many, beautiful giant clams which come in different colours.

23.01.2022 If you have never dived before and don't want to do a full course you can book a 'Discover SCUBA Diving' 2 Day/1Night liveaboard trip including 5 or 3 Introductory Dives. All that is required is the ability to swim and you will also be required to fill out a medical questionnaire. If you have a medical condition you will need to complete a dive medical prior to travel, this needs to be completed in Australia within 90 Days and state that your fit for diving as per AS4005.1 diving medicals standards.

18.01.2022 OceanQuest is a 36 metre catamaran with 3 decks. Boasting 4 double suites, 18 twin share and 1 quad share cabin, we have the capacity to sleep 48 customers overnight on the reef in unrivalled comfort and luxury. All rooms have en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, as well as TV’s. There is a large lounge area on the wheelhouse deck with a bar where you can relax and kick back after a long days diving. The main deck has a large dining room capable of comfortably seating 48 passengers.
