24.01.2022 Hi All Sadly Gary our president was taken by a white pointer on Sunday.we will be having a memorial for him at the Lucky Brewery on Friday 10th at 3 pm. Colourful, casual clothes are requested.
24.01.2022 FIGHT FOR THE BIGHT - one of the biggest protests in Esperance. Great to see so many divers & future divers out there looking after the Southern ocean.
23.01.2022 Commando raids...out at 5.30 and back by 8 am in time for work. Great vis, low swells and amzing fish.
18.01.2022 For all all divers hope to see you at this event on Saturday. Use your BC to paddle/swim out. Last thing we want is oil in Esperance waters or on our beaches. Don't miss this event it is going to be big....even bigger if you turn up. Bring all the family.
15.01.2022 VISITING DIVERS. There won't be too many club members diving in the next period up to Christmas & New Year. But if you are looking for a buddy put it in the comments below and you may find someone keen to dive with you. Have a happy and safe summer festive time.
10.01.2022 Great dive and many more coming up.
06.01.2022 Hey Doug great footage. Good to see a Leafy
05.01.2022 BEACH DIVE: Hi All 30 plus degrees no swell and no pictures. First time ever I left my lens cap on my camera. Swam all the way out to the point at Wharton's before I realised. Of course some fabulous picture opportunities went begging. A huge school of skippy swam around us at the beginning of the dive and then these same school were dive bombing the weed when we returned. .....amazing to see. Lots more, gropher, Morwong, the biggest pike I have ever seen etc etc..Beach BBQ and then home for a snooze. I have forgotten how enjoyable beach dives are. Over the summer holidays we will plan a camping trip to Cape Arid and a dive at Shoal Cape.
04.01.2022 Hi All Esperance Dive Club has closed down.
04.01.2022 The vis was good and there was lots of fish life, interesting topography under cuts and an exhilarating dive. About 20 m, 10 minutes by boat from Esperance
04.01.2022 SPONGE HEAVEN - What we saw night diving at Cull Island. Mostly I take videos of fish and animal life. With not so big lights I was a bit stymied as to what to video so I went to photography - not my genre!. BUT I realised something we take for granted and don't show people enough - the amazing colourful sponges. They are more colourful than a coral reef and they are everywhere. Cheers Karen Ken Richardson; David Howse; Peter Paxton; Gary Johnson
01.01.2022 Spot the octopus....a this critter was moving quickly. Great shot Doug Cary.
