17.01.2022 As most people are aware, there has been an outbreak of COVID-19 in South Australia which has resulted in a number of restrictions being instigated by the Government to help stop the spread. As a result, the capacity of venues has been halved and a large number of the Feast events scheduled to be held at Diverse-City are being postponed or cancelled by the relevant artists concerned. It has been a difficult decision for all artists and venue operators, but we feel that these ...actions will help keep our community safe. All ticketing changes will be conducted through Feast Festival at the artists’ requests. We understand that it is a difficult time for all and we ask that you be patient as everyone involved does their very best to adapt to these changing conditions. We will do our best to keep you posted of these changes and can advise the following at this stage: Going ahead: * Bumblebee Yoga & Dinner - Sunday, 22nd at 1.30pm * Self Isolation Song Book - Thursday, 26 November at 6.30pm Cancelled: * Queer at Work? The Love Mussels are bringing us a taste of their 2021 Fringe show to be performed at Diverse-City on Saturday 13 March. Soooo... come along for dinner, some drinks and discover this wonderful group of passionate musicians as they share their newly released album rock/70s/ashram/lava lamp music mix together with and some beautiful acoustic tracks - (they're rehearing as I write this and... it's gorgeous!!!) Diverse-City was lucky to be the venue for their album launch late last year and it was a brilliant night! Dinner from 6.00pm, bar open all evening. A little background from their albumn- "2006: Legendary Australian band The Love Mussels embarked on their Global Conspiracy Tour, which subsequently descended into chaos. Then, without notice or explanation - disappeared. Nothing was heard of them for 15 years. Then, just as suddenly, they re-emerged from an island off the coast of Belize and began rehearsing new material for what would become IT'S ALL RELATIVE - REDUX, which conceptualises the life and times of Albert Einstein and his relationship with science, women, TM, long hair and the ignorance of innovative thought by the orthodoxy of conformity. The band travelled to India in search of enlightenment - found none - journeyed back to the urban jungle - found less - so set sail for the New World in pursuit of world peace - or a good bar offering cheap rates on strong drink."
02.01.2022 We’re back early! WOW, can you believe it’s been 1 year (21 November) since we opened Diverse-City!!!! To celebrate we are introducing Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm, so make sure you get in early coz we have a limit of 31 :-)... Whilst we are sad that our Feast variety show Diversity@Diverse-City has been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are very happy to open the venue again on Tuesday nights to the LGBTIQ+ community, their family and friends for a social evening with meals available until 9pm. Sadly the pool table will be put away until the restrictions are lifted to the 2 square meter rule or less. We are delighted to announce that thanks to the lovely Rod Lewis, we will have a JP available at Diverse-City by appointment on Tuesday nights between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. The appointment bit is important so that he brings his JP things. We look forward to seeing you again soon :-) :-)
