25.01.2022 What are you doing to nurture yourself today? . I'm ploughing through paperwork, emails, and accounts stuff NOW so I can switch off at a decent hour today. Rather than leaving it till later in the day and then making a start on the day's work. . That discipline is part of how I look after myself, because sometimes I feel that I work 24 hours a day. It's so easy to fuss around doing this and that, and put off what I know I need to get through. It allows me a bigger piece of 't...ime off' later. . Other days, nurturing myself looks like a salt footbath or a swim. Time with my bare feet on the earth features regularly as it INSTANTLY has a positive effect on me. It feels like all the tension drains away and my heartbeat regulates. . On other days it might be prioritising the time to process something that has arisen in my life that requires deep reflection or a bit of journalling, or a challenging conversation. That's nurturing myself, rather than ploughing on and ignoring my own needs. . 24.01.2022 Question: I felt great after my spiritual alignment but this week I've crashed. Is this normal? Great question, the self-care follow up notes that I email out are very comprehensive. They explain what you might experience after a spiritual alignment session. An energetically-stimulating session like that can result in a healing crisis which I talk about in the notes - sometimes referred to as Kundalini syndrome. ... Our sessions are designed to support our clients as they progress on their own empowered path. They aren't designed to 'fix' or remove the need to do our own inner and outer work. Sympoms of imbalance and disharmony in our life are present to help us address what needs to be addressed. For example we always encourage our clients to continue seeing their mental health support professional, eat well, continue their spiritual practices, maintain optimal hydration, exercise in the way that nutures their individual circumstances etc. These are just some of the ways we need to look after ourselves to maintain balance and equilibrium. Here is a photo of Jason taken recently on a walk by the river in Dubbo. This was on a day out of the healing room to ensure we got sunshine, exercise, fresh air, nature-connection time, and the chance to connect with a dear like-minded soul. It's tempting to go for a healing and expect to feel amazing without continuing on with all the things we know we need to do for ourselves.
