14.01.2022 Chalk Paint dynamo Siobhan Smith loves to experiment with colour and pattern and it is always exciting to see her work. We love that she has used layers of Pure... White and then tinted Florence with Pure White as well to create this wonderful mint shade, which perfectly compliments the patterns she has chosen to decorate the drawers on her unique pyramid piece. Siobhan finished this with a coat of Clear Wax to ensure the Chalk Paint surface is protected and sealed. Living in Queensland, Siobhan enjoys bringing discarded furniture back to life with Chalk Paint, fabric and paper, which makes a wonderful addition to any home. 05.01.2022 This gloriously purple chair is the work of Hayley Smilie of Chapter Two Interiors in Buderim, on the Sunshine Coast. Hayley completed this chair for her medita...tion teacher who had a very specific idea of the colour she wanted. The chair started life being pink but was gradually transformed to this stunning shade of purple as Hayley painted multiple fine layers to achieve the desired effect. The purple is a mix of Napoleonic Blue and Burgundy, then with layers in a mix of Florence with Burgundy added. The fabric was a particularly thick velvet which has been left unsealed. Hayley is soon to be an Annie Sloan stockist herself, having fallen in love with the product. Her cat, Luna, seems quite happy with the result too. She can be found on Facebook at@thesheshedbuderim.
