20.01.2022 Just a reminder to take "Egg-stra" good care of your teeth during this Easter break!

20.01.2022 Teeth staining and calculus is something many people!build up overtime eventually. I hear alot of people say that they brush and floss twice a day but although you are doing all the right things... every mouth is different. There may be spots that are too far back in the mouth that you can't reach and not realise and in many cases tartar starts to huild up underneath the gums and between the teeth and no tooth brush or floss will be able to clean it. ... This is why it is important to go in and see the Hygienist every 6-12 months so that they can get into those areas that the tooth brush can't reach. They say that the mouth is an exact mirror image of your gut health. Don't neglect and forget how important teeth and gum health is!

16.01.2022 You might be most familiar with the term plaque from a trip to the dentist’s office. It is only natural to wonder, Is plaque in the mouth the same thing as plaque in the arteries? The simple answer is no, but there may be a connection between the two. While the two types of plaque are very different, patients with gum disease do seem to have nearly twice the risk of also having heart disease. One theory is that bacteria from the mouth travel in the bloodstream to the arteries, where it damages the artery lining and contributes to arterial plaque build-up, possibly through inflammation. Why not pop in to see our friendly staff for your next hygiene (clean) appointment? Give us a call on (07) 3256 9566.

04.01.2022 Communication is KEY. Please remember we update your medical history once a year 'Why do I need to fill out another medical form when everything is still the same? This is a common question dental practices deal with on a regular basis with many patients. While it may seem like an inconvenience to update a medical history, it is imperative to make sure each patient has given you all of their past and current medical information. A medical history acts as a blueprint in determining the safest, optimal care that each patient needs and deserves. It can also reduce the risk of injury and medical emergency.

01.01.2022 Covid-19 Update - Dentistry as usual! We are happy to inform all of our patients that we can now provide all our dental services.
