22.01.2022 This year has been so huge... I think it’s fair to say for EVERYONE and so inadvertently I have ‘ghosted’ on social media. Navigating my way through the experience of having a new baby again, teaching online yoga classes and life in lockdown in Melbourne has been super intense... So... I’ve taken a little step back from social media. I’m still here but just a little more ‘quiet’ than normal as I assess how I’m using my energy and trying to conserve it a little more. I’...m looking forward to when the studio can open up again and we can all be in person... But till then... if you’re really wanting to get back into your yoga practise then join me for Term 4 classes (starting NEXT week). PM me or contact me on [email protected] Sending you ALL big hugs. I’ll be back a little more on these platforms in the not to distant future. #divinewarrioryoga #divinewarrior #divinewarrioryogadoreen See more

13.01.2022 9 months in, 9 months out. The 1st picture was taken the day before I gave birth to little Lakshmi, which was about 6 days before we went into the first lockdown in March in Melbourne. Who would have predicted the next 9 months would have panned out the way they did? What a year.... it’s definitely been one of the hardest ones for me. I feel like we’ve ALL been changed from it, especially those of us living in Melbourne. As the year wraps up I’ve been reflecting on the... lessons of 2020...the importance of gratitude, connection, slowing down and learning to live with uncertainty and discomfort to name just a few... What has been the biggest lessons for you that has come out of this year? Thank you to all those who continued to practise with me virtually over the past 6 months. It’s not quite the same as attending the studio in person but I’m incredibly grateful you kept that connection to your practise. With gratitude and love. See you on the flip side of 2020. 11.01.2022 As we arrive at the end of 2020 I feel grateful on so many levels but also weary and sad...it has been a year that has certainly been testing and revealed the fragility and uncertainty in... well... just about everything. A year full of polarity... the hardest year and yet at the same time such an incredible year with the birth of our little radiant and sweet natured Lakshmi. The last few days we’ve been on holidays visiting family in Northern NSW and I’ve been seeing all t...hese beautiful cloud formations and it’s reminded me of the old saying ‘every cloud has a silver lining.’ Whilst this year has felt like a huge cloud in parts there’s been some real gifts. This afternoon we heard we would have to cut our holiday short by 6 days with the news that Victoria was closing its borders to the whole of NSW. Frantically we arranged a flight to arrive back into Melbourne tomorrow morning before the border closes completely tomorrow night and then heard that we still have to isolate for 14days when we get home. We’re 800kms from Sydney. So many mixed emotions on all of this but I’m reminding myself of the silver linings; we got a few days away from Melbourne, we got to see my family and they finally got to meet Laki, we had sunshine and beach time, we had fun and had time to relax. And as we go into 14 days of isolation I’m grateful that our home and family is a loving and peaceful one. See you later 2020. See more

09.01.2022 ~Where attention goes energy flows~ This has been a BIG one for me of late. I’ve been increasingly noticing the effect of how what I place my attention on can either INSTANTLY uplift me and connect me to joy OR it can make me feel as flat as a pancake. Now more than ever we need to be mindful of what we’re giving our time and attention to and what we’re allowing into our awareness, particularly if we want to feel empowered and centred. As we move into 2021 I’ve made a com...mitment to reduce the amount of time spent using technology and being in front of devices as well as to terminate my relationship with the news and it’s constant negative narrative ... I figure if something is REALLY important I’ll find out about it. For me, this year is about really tuning into those things that bring me joy; yoga, nature, music, my friends and family AND my yoga community. What’s your focus for the year? Want more yoga this year? I’m kicking off classes again for the year by holding a FREE online yoga nidra session via zoom from 7-8pm next Wednesday 13th of January. PM me if you’d like to join so a link can be sent on. #divinewarrioryoga #divinewarrior #sukhasanatwist #vinyasaflow #doreenyogastudio #doreenyoga #yoganidra See more

02.01.2022 ~Sacred rest~ Of the many and varied yogic practises and traditions, I have found Yoga Nidra to be one of the most powerful and beneficial. In an age where we’re so technologically ‘connected’, many people have lost the capacity to truly ‘down regulate’ AND relax. We often use the words: ‘switching off’ to denote relaxation but often what this involves is reaching for a devise (or the remote) in order to do this. And yet despite this we may still feel tense, anxious and ‘wou...nd up’. More and more I see how quietening the mental narrative AND our senses is an essential part of dropping into a deeply relaxed and restorative space. The ancient practise of Yoga nidra or yogic sleep as it is often referred to is profoundly powerful, enabling you to drop into deep brainwave states, leaving you feeling relaxed and restored. This Wednesday the 13th of January I will be running a FREE online 1hr Yoga nidra session from 7-8pm via zoom. Cultivate a sacred space of rest and join me. PM if you’d like the link. #divinewarrioryoga #divinewarrior #relaxandrestore #yoganidra #restandrestoration #sacredrest #yoganidra #onlineyoganidraclass #freeyoganidra #yogicsleep #rest #deeprest #blissfulrelaxation #savasana #yoganidraindoreen See more
