25.01.2022 on the weekend, with those winds and rain I went out for a drive but to my surprise had very little to remove. so I dont know if Im getting better at my job or are people helping remove debris from WA roads. I went out to Cockburn on Sunday and had a look at a pool of water, No jokes. 15cm deep. Ive asked Cockburn if they will put more drains in or something. What do you guys think? Maybe we should ask Councillor Chontelle Stone - City of Cockburn if she can help. Didnt p...ick up much debris but remember if you need me to pick up debris. just message me - 0423 946 011 #DLS #EmergencyResponseTeam #ERT #Wetweathers #cityofcockburn #cityofkwinana

Go to the corner of Parmelia Ave and Challenger Ave and Youll see a bunch of little spoonies. Lets make this spoonville the most well known place in Kwinana. I want to hear people when Im walking down the street saying "Did you go spoonville today?"Lets share this post and any other post about spoonville. ... Im going to make my own spoonies, I have three spoons right next to me but Not sure what to do with them. What do you think? Ask your kids? How should I colour mine? I also think that we should add some buildings in it. Maybe thats someone we should talk about in the comments. Anyway, Whoever started this here in kwinana, Great job. #kwinana #Spoonville

The one on the left is my dad and the one on the right is my sisters father.... now its time to get out of bed, its bacon and eggs times

19.01.2022 I added my spoonies today. Im not very good at art, so I think Ill stick to what I do best. Removing Debris and traffic Management. A little History about other spoonvilles. "The very first Spoonville was started in Winnersh, Berkshire, England by a very creative lady Karen who came up with the idea of making Spoony characters from wooden spoons as a way of cheering up her local community during Covid-19 lockdown.... Helen from Mull (who used to live in Berkshire many moons ago) spotted a photo of the Winnersh Spoonville on her friend Lucys Facebook page after Lucy and her daughter Sydney had been to check out the Spoony people. Thinking this was a fab idea because spoons dont have to social distance Helen and her daughter Ella got busy creating a Spoonville in Craignure, Isle of Mull. Helen posted on Facebook that their Spoonville was looking to increase its population and encouraged others to add to the Spoony people. Junelle, Helens friend from Longwarry, Australia (who used to live in Mull) saw Helens Facebook post, loved the idea, created their Spoonville in Australia with her boys, Jude, Van and Nyah and Spoonvilles were global! And so, it went on. There are now Spoonvilles all over the world with new Spoony characters popping up across the every day. Some are in support of the NHS; some are just for fun. There are Spoonvilles by schools, in parks, by residential homes, along roadsides and beside rivers." We cant wait to find out where the next one pops up! https://spoonvilleinternational.com/

17.01.2022 this afternoon I received a panicking phone call from a lady. She had locked both of her car keys in her car and locked her house keys with them. She was on her way to her son's school. I arrived at 14:25 and assessed the scene. I put 2 cones out and put my amber lights on. Blocking one lane on a no through road. I did it this way because the car was already blocking this lane. There was a 2-meter gap between the cone and the edge of the road. heaps of room for cars to go th...rough. When I spoke with the lady, she had informed me that the Drivers' door is actually unlocked and partly open but is stuck on the hatch. First, I tried to open the door and move the car but the hand brake was on. At about 15:00 after half an hour of trying to get the Driver's door open, we gave up trying that way. So I came up with the idea of using wire and opening the boot hatch via the driver's door. we opened the car at 15:30. Anyway, We did it. I opened the boot and went through the car to get to the door. I HAVE A QUESTION One of the residents on this street complained about me handing this the way I did. He said "The cars shouldn't be on the road" When I arrived the white car was on the road already because she got out of her car to damage after hitting a tree or letterbox. Do you think I handled it right or wrong?

17.01.2022 Howd ever one do in the storm? we werent that bad but heard Bertram got it bad. comments your photos, so I can see the damage. I hope everyone is okay. remember, I can come out and remove debris from our roads to make them safety. Im trained in traffic management and roadside emergency response. how to report debris.... 1. text 0423 946 011 the location, what it is, any pictures and how long its been there. a name would also be nice. 2. we will respond at our earliest possible time. if we cant respond we will do all the leg work for you and call people who can but most of the time we can respond. this is called our emergency response program. https://www.dixonsliftandshift.com/emergency-response-team/

16.01.2022 Did a storm hit your suburb? If so and if you see debris, I mean anything. Message it to us. We can remove it or call someone who can. Even just put an alert out on Facebook and message our friends at WA ROAD Alerts so they can put an alert out.

15.01.2022 PINNED POST Just an update for all the new page likers. I started Dixons Lift and Shift in June of 2019 with the job to get a full time job. At this time I had the honor and privilege of being apart of an amazing fire station here in Kwinana. even if it was only for a very short time. I hope to rejoin Kwinana Volunteer Fire & Rescue in a few years. After I left I started our emergency response program. ... Unfortunately, in recent months I have been forced to look for more reliable work. So thanks to network recruitment I have been doing some traffic Management work. I am doing work every day next week. I believe we will be working on the bridge zipline but of course I will still try to and make time to do jobs. Anyway, back to work. So today I removed a piece of firewood from Gilmore Road. Its only small but even to my surprise. Cars were going around it. So I had to free up the lane. I spoke to my mechanic and he said, "If a car had hit that at speed, it may cause a flat tire and maybe even a crash" It is dangerous removing debris from our roads, even with the training that Ive had. So the government implemented a law called SLOMO Law. This applies to us as well. Please Slow Down and Move Over. Whether or not you think the law is a good one or not, I hate it when I have to slow down driving passed an IRV or ERS Vehicle but Its there for a reason. While Im at it, I wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to a returning customer of mine Rowanne. Sorry I could drop by today. Hope you had a great road trip and an even better day. Text us for debris removal 0423946011. Save our number.

15.01.2022 Did a job today driving the light truck to Midland to pick up 2 benches for a returning customer.

14.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE Ive got a bit of upsetting news but stay with me. Over the last 466 days, I have been running this business and with the help of my loyal page likers and customers, I have been given a little bit of a name. but in recent weeks with the lack of jobs, I have decided to explore other types of work. So I have signed up with a labour-hire company. I hope that this work will lead to some traffic management works. so Roadsafe Traffic Management or Advanced Traffi...c Management WA If you looking for employees, HIRE ME. NOW, this is not the end of me. I will still be doing jobs under the name Dixons Lift and Shift but I might not as available as Id like. of course I will go out on my wet weather patrols and still be doing the Emergency Response Program. and Whether you like it or not Ill still post Community Alerts. Any Question?

12.01.2022 Today is RUOK day. so Ill ask you ARE YOU OKAY? Hows life? got kids? are they good kids? comment to start a conversation with me.

12.01.2022 SNAKES With the dry season fast approaching I thought Id post some quick information about snakes. A lot of people dont know what to do if they see a snake. This includes me before last year I had no clue what to do if I saw a snake. In spring and summer, many reptiles emerge to bask in the sun. During this time you should take precautions to minimize the chance of encountering snakes....Continue reading

12.01.2022 Thats where I am today. Stay safe.

11.01.2022 This afternoon I spotted a hazard on one of our roads. So of course I did a u-turn and went to check it out. It turns out it was a bag of broccoli. When I arrived at the hazard there was a lady wanting to remove the debris. So I had a look at the best way to achieve our goal. with the traffic traveling at 100km/h. I decided to stop the traffic using a stop/slow bat. Thanks to the man who got out of his car to help move the debris. Thanks to both the woman and the man who he...lp I couldnt have done it alone. REMEMBER: If you text me the location of a hazard, I can come out and remove it. Help, Serve, and Prevent. Helping our emergency services, Serving our community by preventing emergencies. #emergencyresponseteam #dls #ert #helpserveprovent

03.01.2022 Yesterday, I received word of debris on a road in the City of Rockingham Local Government. So, of course, I responded, When I got to the location on Dixon Road, I saw a tree branch blocking the right-hand lane (Lane 2). I arrived on-site with amber lights on and stopped my ute in the front of the debris so other cars wouldn't hit me or the branch causing a crash. Thanks to the person who reported it, remember to report debris to message us no matter how big or small. in the famous words of Rider from PAW Patrol "no debris is too big, no pup is too small" #DLS #EmergencyReponseTeam #Rockingham #Pawpatrol
