20.01.2022 WARNING FOR LOCAL DOG OWNERS During the summer months as we spend more time near the water, it is most important to note that dogs visiting our beaches ma...y or will come across the nasty puffer/toadfish . This little puffy fish emits a foul odour that attracts dogs . This fish is TOXIC to dogs, not only when alive but also when deceased , even for weeks after! It contains a toxin called Tetrodotoxin that is able to paralyse the diaphragm of the dog whilst still conscious causing death within the hour . There is no antidote or vaccine and the only chance your dog has is to be taken to a vet immediately for a range of highly invasive procedures that may or may not save your dog. Thank you to Mandy who has alerted us after sighting two of these nasty fish at Johnsons Beach so other pet owners could take note . Sadly she lost her beloved greyhound earlier in the year after he ate a toadfish . So please take extra caution with your pooch, ensure they are on a lead when at our Penguin beaches. We all want your outings to be enjoyable, not fatal for your furry friend .

12.01.2022 ***update**** I got your footage nice white car and the person wearing the green jumper Im giving you until morning to bring the stuff back or Im passing it onto police and Ill will public post it**** and obviously you cant read only 1 person is allowed into the dogwash at 1 time! Im trying to do the right thing by helping minimise risk due to this virus by providing gloves etc in dogwash as I had stated these items are hard to get and also at premium price if I dont have them the doors will be shut, so thanks to the inconsiderate person today who decided to take the supplies I had in the dogwash and the broom shouldnt be too hard to narrow it down as it was a quiet day, Ill be checking the cameras and get your rego you should be ashamed of yourself and dont bother coming back! Heres hoping I can source some more tomorrow.
