25.01.2022 Sorry! After 4 months of lockdown in VIC, we felt it was only right to cancel this weekend’s shifts to let our staff enjoy the sun with family and friends. This did mean we were slower than usual to answer phone calls and queries on Saturday. ... We’ll also be closed on Tuesday for Melbourne Cup. This track has a beveled edge and is slimline in profile, it’s designed to be inconspicuous, allowing your curtains to be the hero. These sheers are from our Morton range, colour Ice. 11.01.2022 Meet the DIY dream team. Liam and I would like to publicly recognise this remarkable collection of human beings! Yesterday was our cut off date for Pre Christmas curtain orders and between 4pm and 4:45pm we received 118 new calls that we couldn’t answer. Some stayed back till 9:30pm to sift through msgs and answer urgent queries while a large contingent volunteered without being asked to come in on a weekend to help ensure we got back to every customer. ... We truly have a special team, a culture that’s genuinely passionate about digitally disrupting the brick and mortar window furnishings industry. And it’s important to us you know the faces that have made DIYblinds the success it is today. To the DIY team, words can’t express our gratitude for being part of this journey. 10.01.2022 Floor to ceiling sheers - the picture says it all @ohana_beachhouse has built the perfect living room that showcases indoor, outdoor living! A real entertainers delight Pic features our S Fold sheer curtains that are floor to ceiling in height. In this pic the curtains are drawn open, away from the stacker door. If you’re wanting to have the curtains fully stack off your windows, account for 30% additional wall space to that of the width of your window. However if it’s... possible, wall to wall sheers look glamorous! But if you have artwork on the wall, or an architectural feature like this arched window, then have your curtain start/finish half way between the window and the artwork or feature. What you don’t want is to have your curtain finish in line with your window, it will cheapen the look and compromise the aesthetics you’re trying to achieve. If you’re uncertain of where to position your curtains, shutters, or blinds, send us a pic and one of our friendly design consultants can help guide you to make an informed decision. 09.01.2022 Avoid disappointment! Order your PolyLux shutters before the 13th of November (that’s this Friday), for guaranteed pre Christmas installation or delivery. With the warmer weather and the Christmas rush (this happens every year btw), our order volumes double and triple. So to avoid disappointment, get your PolyLux shutter orders into our production queue ASAP. ... Also because of the increased orders, our manufacturing lead times have gone from 7 working days to 12 days. 04.01.2022 Polylux Shutters Did you know that the louvers of a shutter are the hero? You control your connection to the outdoors in terms of light and visibility/privacy, by tilting your louvers opened, partially opened, or closed. To ensure you maximise your connection to the outdoors, always try and design your shutters so that they line up to your window frames and millions.
