23.01.2022 ENTRY #1 Glow by Randell and Darling Estoque Reminds me of those old school days finishing a project last minute. Our parol is made from wasted drapes and blue packs for sterile linens from work and old Christmas lights. During the day, you will only see a dull monochromatic star but at night it will unfold to the wishful star that twinkles in the darkness. This is a constant reminder for me that despite the monotonous and challenging year we all had; the feeling of being ...in the dark, that there is still light, hope and silver lining in all of these. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. -Romans 12:12 I hope looking at this parol gives you strength this Christmas season. The silver lining for me is we get to slow down, appreciate what is around us and reconnect with our loved ones even if it doesn't mean physically. I feel so lucky and grateful that aside from the road trips and family-moons I’ve had with my parents, I get to make a parol with them too. I wouldn’t achieve this glow-in-the-dark parol without their crafty skills. #Hellofriends #ParolinNZ

Parol project by Bekah, daddy, and mommy (and trustee gluegun!). Made with paper straws, yarn, and old Christmas ornaments. Bekah calls this one "Piñata Parol". MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I am not a crafty nor an artsy type of person (as evidenced by my unique handwriting) but I am a team player for sure and I didn't want to spoil the fun.... This one is made up of old gift wraps and paperbags as well as unused cable wires to secure the edges. So here's our simple lantern called "Liebe", which means love.
