25.01.2022 This is the bonnet of my land cruiser. My TD (4yo Tiny Dictator son) initially got the blame, but hubby reckons it’s more likely from a horse’s teeth when I was doing some fencing on Saturday and left the car in the paddock. So the burning question is #whodunit... TD, Cooper or Freddie??!! #DJPark #djparkequestrian #bloodyhorse #jjfiles

24.01.2022 That heart stopping moment when you think a horse is dead... and even worse it’s not your horse (Fig was just sleeping... whew!) #djpark #djparkequestrian #imnotdead #horsesofinstagram

21.01.2022 The Burt is loving being back in work, and he’s doing lessons for quite a number of students currently. Helping horses and riders to be their best is our mission statement, and it’s such a privilege to have such wonderful horses, and amazing clients who enjoy learning to deepen their connection, develop a strong and secure seat and find out just how much they can influence their horse through their body awareness. We have clients from so many different walks of life, who a...ll have differing goals and ambitions. One thing is common to all of them though... a love of horses and a desire to connect more with them and improve as riders. To be able to do what I love is such a blessing, and for our horses to be able to help so many people learn more about riding, listening, feeling, connecting - and for some to even discover things about themselves in other areas of their lives that they were unaware of- is such a rewarding experience. Why do you ride? What drew you to horses initially? And if you could achieve one thing or goal with your horse or your riding, what would it be? #djpark #djparkequestrian #equestrian #horseriding #theburt #connection

21.01.2022 DJ Park’s youngest jockey- looks like sitting trot will not be an issue... First trot ever! The wonderful Beau was impeccably behaved and so patient as always #jjfiles #djpark #djparkequestrian #firsttrot #horsesofinstagram #sittingtrot

21.01.2022 Helping horses and riders to be their best This is the lovely young Fig, he’s been to #DJPark for Bootcamp to come back into work and improve his balance, education and canter transitions. Being entrusted with helping horses like Fig to develop balance and confidence, and to learn how to do their job in a way that allows their owners to get more enjoyment from them is such a privilege, and it’s an awful lot of fun too! ... We are taking bookings for horses to come in for training in the new year, and our school horses are available for lessons right through until Xmas and again from Jan 10th in the New Year. If you would like to discuss your goals feel free to contact us to see if we can help you and/or your horse to achieve them! #djpark #djparkequestrian #equestrian #coaching #equestriantraining #dressagehorse #eventinghorse #showjumpinghorse

20.01.2022 The many faces of The BURT... When your big ranga (The Burt) is itchy and you found the itchy spot and he’s posing for your Tiny Dictator (4yo son), the results are always very speshal... For those not familiar with the term ranga, it’s an Aussie slang term for red heads. Generally used in a quite neutral manner, certainly not a derogatory one, unless applied to a horse. Pronounced rang-ar and rhymes with hangar, as opposed to ranger... When used with horses, it’s used as a noun to describe a chestnut, and also as a verb if applied to the antisocial behaviour exhibited by said chestnut. Eg The BURT is a big ranga (meaning The BURT is a big chestnut horse), but also omg could he be any more ranga? (Meaning he’s behaving in an undesirable manner like in the second, third and fourth photos) #theburt #jjfiles #djpark #djparkequestrian #horsesofinstagram #chestnutgelding #ottbsofinstagram #ranga

20.01.2022 I can’t get up When mum refuses to buy you an appropriately sized kids pony, so you have to make do with the 16.3hh Burt as your pony instead...

20.01.2022 Level 1 Equine Reiki clinic dates have been locked in for 2021! This is an awesome opportunity to spend a weekend getting attuned to Reiki with myself and the awesome Jenny MacKenzie from SoulScape Reiki, and learning how to channel reiki to your horse (and any other family/friends/pets or living beings!) If you have ever wanted to develop a deeper connection with your horse, develop a deeper connection with the world around you, get quieter in your head (quieten the... busy mind), know your true self, know more about reiki, explore how to connect with higher energies/guides, or just felt like there’s something more but you aren’t sure what? then this course might be exactly what you are looking for. Contact us for more information, and make sure you secure your spot early- these ALWAYS book out quickly, so don’t miss out!

17.01.2022 I did not know a horse could do that... Written by Alissa Kelly I did not know a horse could bring people into your life that end up meaning the most to you. ... I did not know a horse could make the hardest days of your life bearable. I did not know a horse could teach you to put others first. I did not know a horse could remind you time and time again that your gut is always right. I did not know a horse could break your heart. I did not know a horse could pick you up when you have fallen a part. I did not know a horse could teach you to dream again, after you thought it was not possible. I did not know a horse could make you pray. I did not know a horse could bring you closer to Jesus. I did not know a horse could teach responsibility, work ethic and dedication. I did not know a horse could make you believe in something when no one else does. I did not know a horse could make you learn to forgive and forget. I did not know a horse could humble you faster than you can say humble. I did not know a horse could make you a winner. I did not know a horse could teach you how to lose gracefully. I did not know a horse could install patience in you. I did not know a horse could make you listen better. I did not know a horse could give you their heart. I did not know a horse could change your life. I did not know a horse could do all these things, but now I know.

15.01.2022 Sunsets, ponies, family and a beautiful weekend ripped off with some lovely rain.... doesn’t get much better than this! #djpark #djparkequestrian #sunsets #horsesofinstagram #gratitude #blessed

13.01.2022 I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do... I am so privileged to work with amazing clients, who love horses and ride my school horses so beautifully! Mighty Mooch LOVED his lesson with Belinda on Saturday, he started off unbalanced, falling in and going pretty fast, but ended up in beautiful balance, with fingertip control on a completely long rein! I’m not sure who had the biggest smile- Belinda, Smooch or me!! Using the seat in a balanced and effective manner is so important, and I thoroughly enjoy working with clients who want to play with developing their connection to the horse through their seat in a way that helps balance and support the horse in its natural way of going

12.01.2022 Ever uttered the phrase if only they could talk? Is your horse trying go to tell you something? Wish you could have your horse tell you exactly what’s bothering him or her? We are very pleased to have the amazing animal communicator, Emma Crawford (Silent Voices Animal Communications) coming to visit in March. If anyone would like a spot to have a reading done with their horse at DJ Park on Sunday, March 21st, please let me know. It’s $125 for a live reading, places need to be booked and paid for to be confirmed and they always fill fast, so don’t miss out!
