Check out my amazing friends chat platform to connect in these strange times: https://helpful.chat/ So it took about 8 months, but my mental health based lockdown project is finally ready to go live!... Introducing... Helpful Chat! A platform which connects people together to talk through difficult circumstances. It gives you the option to take either the role of a Listener or a Talker - then it connects you both up together to talk something through. This project has taken up countless evenings and weekends over the last 8 months, and I'd like to make a special shoutout Madeline Snow & Michael Winter for helping me with their content and development talents - you guys really helped make this project a reality and get it over the line. For a simple site and concept, it has a lot of moving parts and has taken a lot of effort to get these bits right. The goal is to build on this platform over time and make the experience ultimately more helpful, connecting, accessible and rewarding as we go. This is really just the first step on this journey. If you'd like to help out or get involved, we are aiming to do a crowd funding drive to get the word out and to cover initial promotion costs (more on this will come in a few weeks). Or otherwise a share to friends who might need it or sending me suggestions for improvements on the site will go a long way. I'm really just excited to hopefully see some good stories come out of this! and hopefully facilitate some relief to people going through hard times.
