24.01.2022 E K K O & S I D E T R A C K Ekko & Sidetrack are brothers, Jeff and Jono Hansen. Raised in Perth, Australia, learning instruments and listening to their parent...s varied music collection lead these two into music production in 2008. Armed with an old version of Ableton and no idea what the hell a VST was they cut their teeth on a pair of PC speakers and a laptop. Fast forward seven years and Ekko & Sidetrack have released music on several small labels including Interphase Recordings, Breach Audio & Cue Recordings. Last year took a big step by featuring on the Viper Recordings Summer Slammers LP with ‘Contention’. In 2015 they teamed up with fellow Perth producer Gran Calavera to produce ‘Snowden’ which was released as part of Viper's revered Headroom Series. The second half of 2015 saw their debut single Alone Without You and AMPM released on Viper VIP. The single was well supported by the likes of Fred V & Grafix, ShockOne & Matrix & Futurebound. As well as producing music they have supported some of the biggest names in drum and bass with shows across Australia including Friction, Pendulum, ShockOne, Wilkinson, Sigma, Brookes Brothers and Netsky. . If 2015 is anything to go by 2016 is set to be a big year for the Perth duo. See more
