25.01.2022 Consistency is the key. #spartanguitar
25.01.2022 Hola Socialmedialand! While trying to get my website ranked a bit better I realised that Google reviews are an important part. Sooooooo... I've got a big favour to ask. Previous students have written Facebook reviews for me and that's been really cool. However, they don't translate to Google. Any chance some ex- or current students could write an oul Google review? It'd actually mean heaps to me as it's the key to getting myself noticeable here.... Thank y'all muchly in advance!!! Here's the link where you can write a review: https://goo.gl/maps/Ta6P8uCgnyL2 And photo proof that there are some musical cats about! ;)

21.01.2022 Hey folks! Now that restrictions have eased I will be back teaching face to face from Monday 22nd June. Online lessons can be maintained if you so wish. All students online resource folders will remain in place and will be updated continuously in the same manner as they were during social isolation. Stay safe!

18.01.2022 Imagine. Create. Implement. We make it happen by putting a team behind you so it becomes a reality in weeks - not months or years. Connecting our students and ...new artists to Commercial Music Producers and cutting out the middle 'people' to keep your costs down. Unless you want a hobby, make productive moves for your career and make money - never play for 'exposure'. See more
17.01.2022 In today's world our new isolation has resulted in many tasks, activities and hobbies being curtailed by the global situation. Music need not be one of them as online tuition is not only possible, but opens up a world of possibilities. Who better to guide you than a tutor with nearly a decade of online teaching experience? 15.01.2022 Online Lessons Available It's a little known fact that I have been teaching online one-to-one lessons in four countries for close to ten years now! Should you feel poorly or want to self isolate this is an available option. What you will need:... 1. A high bandwith internet connection - most modern internet connections will suffice 2. Either Skype or Zoom 3. A stationery online device - such as a desktop or laptop computer. 4. A working mocrophone and speakers - such as those contained in mobile devices. For older desktops you might need to check. Should you be interested please drop me a line! :)
14.01.2022 The perfect mix of the old celt in the new world. I recieved this today from one of my very oldest and best friends, @tomking001 . He forged this in the old style using ways older than memory. Here it is, beside some equipment that's helping bring old music to the new world. Thank you my friend. #blacksmith #spartanguitar
13.01.2022 Just some quick tips for teaching online to all my fellow tutors. Most of you probably already know this but I hope some find them useful! :) #spartanguitar
13.01.2022 Even on holidays the practise never stops. Away from my studio with an old guitar that was loaned to me. Also, you shouldn't sound good when you're practising for improvement. #spartanguitar

06.01.2022 COVID- 19 So as everyone knows there is an increasing likelihood of contracting this virus. As a music teacher I am in the frontlines, meeting students every day and working in close proximity for a prolonged period of time. It is time to put in place a strategy regarding how I deal with this. In the event of one of my students being confirmed as having the virus I will get tested and will suspend lessons until such time as I am cleared, or until 14 days has passed. All of my... students will be notified should this happen. In the event of my contracting the virus I will suspend lessons immediately until I am cleared. If you show any symptoms please contact me IMMEDIATELY as I will need to suspend lessons for you or your child until such time as you are cleared. You will not lose any money you have previously paid. I would urge you to keep me informed as this protects not only me, but ALL of my students and their families. COVID-19 can be dangerous to the elderly, those with underlying medical conditions and the immunocompromised. In other words it can be dangerous to pregnant women, newborn babies and people with long term illnesses... ie. the families of the students I teach. Consult https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//dise/Pages/coronavirus.aspx for information. Thank you so much for reading this. Please share this post and keep safe! :) (Sorry for the repost... I deleted it accidentally while editing!)
06.01.2022 How long should I practise each day? How much is enough? It's not the quantity of your practise that matters but the quality. If you are not doing these three things during every practise, your time has been wasted. You can practise 3 hours each day without learning a thing, or you can practice 3 minutes and do all of these. The choice is yours.... #spartanguitar
04.01.2022 Interested in studying music production online? DJPTeaching is now enrolling students to take the Rockschool Music Production Grade Exams in December 2020! These grade exams are the worlds first music grade specifically for music production and will teach you the skills necessary to record and mix your own material.... On completion of a Rockschool Music Production grade, every candidate will own a wealth of technical, practical and theoretical knowledge that they can apply to real-world scenarios whether it’s in audio production, electronic music production, mixing, editing, mastering or sound for media. Education will take place online over Zoom using Reason or Cakewalk by Bandlab. Enquire fast as places are highly limited. DJPTeaching is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW and the Creative Kids Program. https://rockschool.ameb.edu.au/music-production/
04.01.2022 And so this brings us to the end of another year teaching. As ye know I am taking two weeks off and next teaching day will be January 6th. Feel free to contact me in the meantime! Wishing you and yours a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! See ye in the new decade.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qdyl8COgjoU
01.01.2022 Sometimes practising results in some inspired impromptu singing... no need for lessons here!

01.01.2022 Hi folks! As most of you know I am resuming in-person lessons from today (Monday 22nd June). In the unlikely event of my contracting an illness I would need updated details forwarded to me for your email address, contact phone number and postal address. Feel free to email them to me privately at [email protected] or through direct messaging here. These details are of course confidential and will not be shared with any third party.... It's also reccomended to have the COVIDSafe app installed and running but this is not mandatory. I will be maintaining the required 1.5m distance throughout the lessons and interactions, and observing best practise for a safe, comfortable and healthy learning environment. These are precautions that helps us all and are a huge part of the reason why Australia has practically eliminated the spread with so few casualties. Keep on keeping on! ;) DJPTeaching
