25.01.2022 It is wet here, but we are having fun exploring the life cycle of frogs.



24.01.2022 Our older and very excited primary students are off to their camp in Kununurra this morning.

24.01.2022 This morning the year 3-6 class did a cruise on Lake Argyle as part of their camp. They learnt about the history of Argyle Downs Station, spotted some freshwater crocodiles and rock wallabies and also fed the fish. To finish off the morning they had a swim in Infinity Pool at the Lake Argyle Caravan Park.

23.01.2022 Wangkatjungka RCS and Djugerari RCS demonstrated the skills they learnt and developed through swimming lessons by competing in a range of races and games.

20.01.2022 Science with Ms Britt- What happens when you mix shampoo (liquid) and cornflour (powdery and dry)? You get a thick gooey slime! A completely different substance. They added water, more shampoo, bubbles, mixed, stirred and kneaded. Each child created something different. Experimenting.

20.01.2022 On Thursday the students demonstrated the school expectation of ‘be proud’ by inviting the community in for lunch and sharing the wonderful work they’ve been doing. Thank you to to the community for supporting the students.



18.01.2022 Today Djugerari went on an excursion to visit the Fitzroy Crossing Police Station. We had so much fun learning about how our local constabulary are keeping us safe. This was followed by a delicious lunch at the local cafe.

18.01.2022 An eastern states group called Books in Homes sent us books for the children in a useful waterproof bag. These have been used for swimming bags this week, very handy. It is quite a trek in and out to get to swimming lessons (thank you teachers), but so hot (around 47C) the pool is the best place to be. Our kids look happy.

18.01.2022 We are visiting Mimbi Caves on Wednesday. We leave at 6.45 am so we get there at the opening time. So make sure you aren't late and that your form is signed by your family. It is going to be a great morning.

18.01.2022 Today the teachers were at training so Ms Fiona got to have fun with the children.

16.01.2022 Kindilinks cooking today, they were so focussed and proud of their muffins when they had cooked. When I walked in, they were feeling hot muffins as they had just come out of the oven.

14.01.2022 Today Djugerari explored Mimbi Caves. Ronnie, our amazing tour guide, did a Welcome to Country. Then we learnt about the history of Mimbi which is in the heart of Gooniyandi Country. The creation of Mimbi is founded on the story about ‘The Blue Tongue Lizard and the Mudlark’.

14.01.2022 Every day they came to learn and play. So we said stand over there and smile.This is the result.

14.01.2022 Term 4 has started. Kingdom Aviation flew in today and Terry and Rose had a great hot day game which involved passing wet things.

14.01.2022 Today we enjoyed participating in first aid training with Ngurra, Paruku and Yimardoo Rangers! We learnt 3 and 4 hand seats and bandaging techniques.

10.01.2022 A fantastic last day of camp. Straight after brekky the kids stepped out of the cabin and straight to the water to catch fish. Then we did some shopping, had lunch at Ivanhoe cafe, explored the irrigation system in the farming area, swam at swim beach and the caravan park pool and finished the day with a play at Celebrity Tree Park. In the farming area we were very excited to find a cotton and sunflower crops!

10.01.2022 A great start to our week.Last weeks 100% attenders and our Good News Gwen. Ms Britt's class were splatting chalk sight words with the water blaster. Then they made pictures about the story they read Giraffes Cant Dance Carl’s face is beaming with deserved pride.

10.01.2022 Today we visited Fitzroy Crossing to see the dentist. The students showed the school expectation of ‘be your best’ during their check up and also when we happily discovered the Nindilingarri office and had an impromptu first aid lesson on how to treat a snake bite. We then enjoyed a delicious healthy lunch at the cafe before heading home.

09.01.2022 We had our book assembly today. The children were great and everyone, families included, enjoyed icecream after. Well done. Happy World Teacher Day to our caring staff. Congratulations to the Super Skudda Award winners Jayara and Niequa.

09.01.2022 The yr 3-6 class are enjoying school camp at Kununurra this week. This morning they did a cultural walk through Mirima National Park (part of the Canning Stock Route), the walk ended at an Aboriginal Art gallery where the kids gave the rain man statue a rub to bring big rain this wet season, there has also been swimming in the pool and refreshments at a cafe.

08.01.2022 Alice and Kaitlin from Nindilingarri came and taught the children about bone health. We did not know that our body stores a life supply of calcium by the time a person is 25. The children designed their own smoothies.

06.01.2022 Thank you to Niqua’s Dad (Ambrose) for coming in last Friday to do a painting class with the students. They are very proud of their landscapes

06.01.2022 Our excitement today was the arrival this morning of the DFES plane which brought us all food supplies from IGA.

05.01.2022 Kaiden and Carl came in to show me their pictures that show how bees make honey. Carl had asked the question of Ms Britt this morning. They could both explain their pictures clearly. We are very proud of our kindy boys.

04.01.2022 We are happy to welcome Ms Marea to our team she made piklets with Donika yesterday, they were shared with us all. I am very happy to hear some students are attending school where they are while waiting for the creeks to go down.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to our Year 6 students Gwen and Cecilia for graduating primary school. They enjoyed a celebration lunch at the Crossing Inn on Saturday with family and staff. We are very proud of you both and wish you all the best for High School.

02.01.2022 Swimming lessons are going well so far. Students are being their best by listening carefully to their swimming instructors to learn important swimming skills.

01.01.2022 This afternoon the yr 3-6 class visited Mandy who runs Kangaroo Haven. She looks after lots of injured animals and if possible releases them back into the wild. After learning all about caring for the native animals there was a quiz which the pet ibis didn’t want to miss out on. We also met their very friendly giant dogs!
