23.01.2022 From CASA Low cost ADS-B options for VFR aircraft VFR operators who wish to voluntarily fit Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) will soon have more choice.... This follows a recent consultation where we asked for your feedback on the move. From 16 July you will be able to choose from a broader range of ADS-B systems on the market. Some of the systems are available at a lower cost than what is allowable under current standards. CASA is hoping that the changes will encourage a greater fitment of ADS-B in VFR aircraft so that pilots can begin to enjoy the safety benefits of this technology. Having an ADS-B transmitting system (ADS-B OUT) will help you to be more visible to other aircraft, and if you also have a receiving system (ADS-B IN), you will be able to see other ADS-B OUT-equipped aircraft in your vicinity. 17.01.2022 Just WOW. Another upgrade, another success. This little beaut is Fleet Helicopters in Armidale. VH-EIP... Remove GNC300XL and all wiring, replace with a GNS430W, add a dual G5 system with Gad29b and GMU11, fully integrated to eachother via RS232 and RS429, and comm to the audio panel. The bang it together with ADS-B out via the TT31 and you have a winner.

03.01.2022 Some awesome installs this week and an array of servicings, I had the pleasure of installing an AV-30 AH to an American cub aircraft. This unit can be switched to a DG or GPS aided HSI and will display all your GPS guidance. In the next couple of weeks I will be installing a few Sky Echo 2 units. These will provide ADS-B out as an EC unit. These connect to your window and only power is needed. ... Serious about getting one but want to see it first?
