It is the ride organisors facebook page and was the only facebook page until Kathleen Roberts on behalf of the SMC ( I presume) created a second page with the deliberately provocative title "The Original 2017 Qld state championship" The SMC have no precedence in the attempted confusion of a second facebook page which IS NOT THE OFFICIAL PAGE. I would call upon Ka...thleen Roberts to immediately withdraw and make this page not available for public view. There is a new committee assisting Peter Williams in the many tasks associated with running a successful State Championship 160km ride and in addition an 80km ride for ALL QERA MEMBERS - THIS IS AN OPEN RIDE! Notwithstanding the continual provocations exhibited by certain elements of the SMC the Rockybar State Champs are in good experienced hands and all facets are progressing smoothly towards a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE for ALL MEMBERS - come to Rockybar and experience for yourselves the magic of a state champs in an original setting - where endurance belongs!! 23.01.2022 Had a great weekend at Stirlings Crossing classic - welcome to the successful souls who braved and qualified the 160km event. The 120km event had combinations polishing their fitness and checking out track. Congratulations to the Stirlings team, another job well done and all the volunteers who between all of them,just make it happen. Some photos of the successul completers follow;

06.01.2022 Nearly there - end of `160kms in 2017

05.01.2022 D-Lua Park travelled to "Rocky Bar" for the Qld State Champs. What a fabulous 160 km ride, competitive, ideal conditions, a very fast winning time and NO HORSE TREATMENTS! The engraved stone ( pictured) sits at the entrance to the homestead and reminds visitors of the mate ship of the bush and the close connection between man and country. D-Lua Park picked up 3 new spot lights for Peter Williams in Brisbane ( picture shows Peter mounting one of those new spot lights on a pole... which was cut from the bush only several hours before the photo, the hole was dug and the pole erected and spotlight mounted all within 3 hours - thats what happens in the bush! Congratulations to Peter Williams and his band of volunteers for a tremendous state champs at an iconic location, "Rocky Bar", & overcoming all the obstacles placed in their way and running a successful "OPEN State Champs".....
