24.01.2022 Some of you may have seen this over the last week and I know we have a few folk that play footy! Bretts family are close friends of mine and I would love to have our DMC family support this great initiative. If youre able to donate any boots, please send in to our office by next Friday 4th September. Your support will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

24.01.2022 Good news Friday! A member of the public phoned in this morning. Our machine has been found in the Malaga area. THANK YOU to everyone that commented and shared our post. We really appreciate your help. Have a safe long weekend and if you can, have a moment of reflection for Anzac Day. Take care.

24.01.2022 UPDATE - in case youve missed our next post, our machine was found! Thanks everyone for sharing and caring. Its very unfortunate that we have to make this post but we need your help! We had a mini excavator stolen from Southern River overnight (22/04 - 23/04), adjacent to Southern River Road, Holmes Road and Campine Drive. It was likely taken on the back of a truck. If you, or you know of anyone that lives around the area that may have CCTV, please ask them to review their footage. You can call us on 9492 1800 or email [email protected]. Thank you!

23.01.2022 An equal world is an enabled world. Today we are celebrating women within #DMCivil and beyond. We thank you for all that you do. Happy International Womens Day! #EachforEqual #IWD2020

23.01.2022 DM Civil continue to be dedicated to ongoing training of our team. Kyle, Jake, Kade, Dale and Jamey have been signed up to complete a Cert IV in Civil Supervision. Ryan and Khalen are progressing through their Cert III in Trenchless Technology. Their enthusiasm for upskilling and desire to become future leaders is admirable. Its exciting to be able to promote the continual development of young, motivated and skilled people within the civil construction industry. We also take this opportunity to thank their supervisors and peers for mentoring and supporting their learning and development. #DMCivil #apprentices #traineeships #civilconstruction #tradespeople #internships #teambuilding

23.01.2022 Employee of the Month: Josh was thrown in the deep end when his Manager had to take leave on short notice. Josh took on all the existing and incoming trenchless tenders and other aspects that arose in addition to his existing workload. He was able to multi-task and prioritise these to ensure all issues and tenders were covered. Josh has shown that he has grown into a very competent estimator that is able to problem solve complex trenchless issues and confidently communicate with clients in the best interests for DM Civil. Thank you, Josh, for all your effort and commitment. #employeeofthemonth #DMCivil

21.01.2022 DM Civil are back working on Rottnest Island. After completion of our contract last year, for the sewer upgrade and pressurised water main construction, we were awarded another contract to install a pressure main from the desalination plant to Point Clune, past Fays Bay. The pressure main is being installed by horizontal directional drilling through the coastal limestone. The installation will allow for another desalination train to operate in the existing facility to boost t...he islands fresh water supply. Our work crew has been trained in the care and protection of all forms of wildlife on the island including the iconic Quokka, the local marsupial. This includes fenced exclusion zones at open pits with sand bagging at the base. The Quokka population has received worldwide attention in the past few years from international celebrities, a trend started by tennis great, Roger Federer. A recent visit by our HSEQ Advisor Abby to the island resulted in some memorable selfies. #rotto #rottnestisland #quokka #quokkaselfie #watersupply #horizontaldrilling #sustainableprojects #sustainabilityincivil

20.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be is the 2020 theme for NAIDOC week. It recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years and are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country, a history which dates back thousands of generations and to celebrate that we... have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. Traditionally recognised in July across Australia, it was postponed until this week due to the pandemic. NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through our acknowledgement of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, DM Civil takes the opportunity to join in working together for a shared future for all Australians. #Naidocweek2020 #dmcivil #alwayswasalwayswillbe

16.01.2022 Employee of the Month (Jan-Feb): Richard has shown good leadership and management skills for two large projects. Primarily, Richard was able to organise and construct the works after a single site visit and to modify and adapt to client generated changes to the scope with minimal input from the office. Clients feedback was that Richards proactive performance and attention to detail was outstanding and that DM Civil had provided great service throughout the project. Similarl...y, Richard has shown exceptional organisational skills and an ability to communicate with all levels of the client. Richard has gone above and beyond what is expected of his duties and recognition as an outstanding employee is well deserved. 15.01.2022 On ANZAC Day 25 April 2020, we remember. On this day, above all days, we recall those who served in war and who did not return to receive the grateful thanks of the nation. RSLWA is encouraging Australians to stand in quiet contemplation outside their homes at 5.55am on April 25, after the COVID-19 crisis forced the cancellation of ANZAC Day services across the country the first time since World War II. This unique tribute, which promotes the spirit of mateship while social... distancing, is planned to take place across the nation. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. #lestweforget #anzacday2020 #drivewaydawnservice #dmcivil

12.01.2022 DM Civil constructed the new above ground DN400 & DN200 PRV valve station; however due to its proximity to local residences and the noise generated from the continuously operating PRVs, an acoustic building was built to mitigate the nuisance sound. The PRV building was a culmination of a successful suite of works, over 18 months, to bring the new water supply infrastructure online to allow the new Armadale Road to be opened to the public. 11.01.2022 Employees of the Month: Blake and Warren are congratulated for winning August’s award. Blake was recognised for his work on the Farmlands Pipe Replacement project in Southern Cross. His continued development as a supervisor in the Trenchless department has seen him complete the works on time whilst taking the challenges on site in his stride with limited management input. Blake managed onsite works and accommodation and supplied comprehensive day sheets including daily photos... showing the progress which, as phone reception was limited, was beneficial to track the works and kept management up to date. We received positive feedback regarding the site presentation and the crew’s performance on this project. Thank you, Blake, for your diligent management of this project. Warren was nominated for his due diligence for safety on site, ensuring that subcontractors as well our own HSEQ Advisor had signed on to the appropriate SWMS. His overall manner towards people is positive and approachable. Warren also received special recognition, as this was his second nomination in three months, having received a nomination in June for different reasons and by a different person. This nomination included his diverse and proactive performance on site, preparing plant, tools and equipment for daily and weekly activities and maintaining a high level of organisation and housekeeping on site. Thank you, Waz for your exceptional and consistent performance. #employeesofthemonth #DMCivil #projectmanagement #safetyonsite #HSEQ #performance

Tessa always takes the time required to give a carefully thought thorough response. Her presentation t...o clients is exceptional and they really respect her and appreciate the effort that she goes to when dealing with not only the day to day issues, but also the way she applies herself to problem solving for the betterment of the project. Tessa has the respect of her peers, is dedicated to the safety of her construction teams and continues to ensure DM Civil’s good reputation is upheld with our stakeholders.
