25.01.2022 Drought-affected farmers will be able to receive expanded grant support from the state government. Agriculture Minister Jaclyn Symes has announced the changes t...o funding programs to acknowledge the ongoing challenges farmers are facing dealing with drought, bushfires and coronavirus. The maximum amount available for the On-Farm Drought Resilience Grant Program will increase from $5000 to $10,000. This means farmers can use up to $5000 for farm business planning activities and $5000 for drought infrastructure investments. The program now also allows applications for new equipment such as mobile phone booster technologies to improve access to the internet and online drought services, and items such as soil moisture probes. 21.01.2022 JOBKEEPER EXTENSION The JobKeeper Payment, which was due to run until 27 September 2020, has been extended by a further six months to March 2021. Support will be targeted to businesses and not-for-profits that continue to be impacted by the Coronavirus. 08.01.2022 Business Support Fund The Victorian Government has launched the $500 million Business Support Fund to help small businesses survive the impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and keep people in work. Funding of $10,000 per business is available if you pass the eligibility requirements.

07.01.2022 Announced on the 2nd of October the federal government have committed an additional $50m to the On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme which supports primary producers or horticulture farmers, property owners, share or lease farmers or grazing and horticulture industries in areas defined as drought affected. The rebate contributes 25% to purchases which relate to water infrastructure capped at $25,000.
