12.01.2022 As you may be aware, on Tuesday (6 October), Treasurer Josh Frydenberg delivered the 2020 Federal Budget. Key highlights included changes to personal income tax rates, the introduction of a new $4 billion JobMaker hiring credit, small business tax concessions, and major asset write-offs for eligible businesses. 07.01.2022 2020 Tax Return Appointment Update With the 1st of July tomorrow many of you are looking at completing your tax return. We at DMK are looking forward to assisting you with your tax return, but the way in which we will be conducting our tax appointments will be a little different this year. Advice from the ATO is that taxpayers should hold off having their tax returns prepared until at least 15th July or when your employer has finalised their end-of-year Single Touch Payroll r...eporting. At DMK our top priority is the safety of both our valued clients and our team and their families. Due to this we are limiting the amount of face-to-face appointments this year. We are offering the below alternatives to a face-to-face appointment, and will strive to have your return completed within 5 business days. Client Portal - we have a new secure client portal where you can upload your documents and then review and electronically sign your return for lodgement. Please contact us on 03 5772 1915 or [email protected] to get access to the portal. Provide us with the relevant documents/information through either email, post, or drop-off at the office. One of our accountants will be in touch with any queries. Please note: If emailing your documents, we do advise that you DO NOT email through your Tax File Number (TFN) in case of any security / hacking breach. If you are emailing through your information, please blank out the TFN on any documents before you do so. If you do require a face-to-face appointment, we ask that you please book in prior to coming into the office and sanitize your hands upon arrival. Please note that we can only have one client at a time in an interview room due to Covid-19 restrictions.
