17.01.2022 If you happen to be sitting in your car eating at a fast food place because the dining room is closed and see a truck driver walk to the door and walk away please ask them if you can drive thru for their meal. Since walk up isnt allowed at the drive thru they have no way to get their meal. We owe them that much! Copy and paste to show our truckers love and support

16.01.2022 Germs can spread fast. There are four simple steps we can all do to help stop the spread. Learn more at health.gov.au #COVID19

16.01.2022 Thank you to all those that have served, lest we forget.

15.01.2022 As there is currently no vaccine or specific drug for COVID-19, the only known way to reduce the spread is through protective measures, such as practicing good ...hygiene, isolating suspected and confirmed cases, and by social distancing. Slowing the spread of COVID-19 has been termed flattening the curve. So how do protective measures help to flatten the curve and what does this mean? The health advice and protective measures in place for COVID-19 will help our community slow the spread and the demand on hospitals, giving the health system more time to prepare and manage the outbreak. Heres just a few of the things SA Health is doing: Weve introduced new legislation so we can provide a more rapid and timely response to public health risks Weve opened dedicated clinics and drive-through collection centres to ease pressure on EDs and GPs, and more are planned to open. Were launching a broad public awareness campaign about good hygiene practices and social distancing. Were also investigating ways we can increase capacity through private sector partnerships. 07.01.2022 Do you charge your phone, tablet or laptop in or on your bed? SA Metropolitan Fire Service Commander Phil Crossley told ABCs Sonya Feldhoff they have seen an... increase in fires caused by electronics during the cooler months and wants people to be mindful where they are charging their devices. People do charge their phones, laptop and tablets on their beds or under their pillow. Our recommendation is that these devices get charged on a hard surface thats not flammable and has an air flow around them as they can generate heat during charging. Having them on the bed or under a doona they dont have an opportunity to then vent to the surrounding area and can potentially overheat and ignite.

07.01.2022 Drinking enough water every day keeps you hydrated, helps with digestion, and regulates body temperature. Everyone tends to drink more water in the summer ...months when its hot but it is just as important to keep drinking water during the winter. How much fluid you need will depend upon how much exercise you are doing, your weight, if you are taking certain medications and if you are breast feeding. Note: this is general guidance and might not apply to everyones individual requirements. Remember, plain water with nothing added is the best drink of all!

02.01.2022 With the new Oaklands Railway Station now operational, parts of the station and access points remain closed as we finish components over the coming weeks. Work ...zones will be fenced off and then opened once completed. The Warradale pedestrian and cyclist rail crossing is now open as a passive crossing, and in the coming weeks it will be opened as an activated crossing, along with the upgraded crossings at Hove and Seventh Avenue. Works are progressing well with road upgrades, car park construction and landscaping works. Key work areas include the new right-hand turn lanes to continue along Morphett Road, Dunrobin and Diagonal roads and Railway Terrace. Access is changing regularly, so please keep an eye out for signage around the construction zones.
