07.01.2022 Keep the 21st of Feb free for a great day out with the family and to raise some money for this worthy cause.

06.01.2022 JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE!! The Dodgy Door Knockers are back in town flogging over inflated solar systems using high pressure sales tactics. Just so you know the solar rebate isn’t ending, you don’t have to sign anything on the day and anyone cold calling and door knocking certainly isn’t local. (and the panels are never made in Germany)... Spread the word, get multiple local quotes and watch out for our elderly as they are these blokes favourite targets. If you have been approached or coerced into signing up call us on 1300 502 599 to discuss your options.

06.01.2022 A pleasant surprise from SolarEdge today. A hamper packed full of goodies and 2 glass monoliths recognising being a Preferred Partner 2020 and another recognising our 10 year anniversary as suppliers, designers and installers of the best inverter platform available in Tassie.

05.01.2022 While troglodytes are always looking to the past for answers, others are looking towards the future. Stay out of the way and let the real innovators continue to do what we do best. Building better tomorrows. https://www.pv-magazine-australia.com//angus-taylors-tech/

04.01.2022 Another DMS Energy off grid solar solution installed and commissioned. Q.Cell QPeak 330 watt modules charging via Victron MPPT charge controllers our latest model Sungel Ultra batteries. Custom designed to suit our clients needs, using high quality components working perfectly in sync with each other.... Off grid living at its finest.

03.01.2022 Last week we talked mostly about electric cars but this week lets delve into the bigger gear available with electric storage. Having more people in the same vehicle when heading in the same direction makes sense. One of the most efficient ways of doing this is using a bus. China is all over this. Did you know that they have over 400,000 electric buses? That’s a lot of buses and given the phenomenal population of china I suspect they are going to need a lot more. It costs arou...Continue reading

03.01.2022 Solar Fire Safety Concerns We have had quite a few calls about this ABC story regarding solar roof top fires because of DC Isolators. My mate Johann (a fellow LG Dealer) does quite a good job explaining the issue.... DMS Energy have been a very vocal advocate in trying to have roof top isolators removed from solar system for over a decade. (Bureaucrats are only now starting listen) This issue is also why we introduced SolarEdge into Tasmania 11 years ago as it’s SafeDC technology means we can never have a roof top fire. Peace of mind for both us and our clients. DMS Energy also use aluminium housed with European switch mechanism roof top isolators. Basically the best of the best and none of this plastic junk. Generally the cheaper the solar the higher the risks and the more likely it will cause a significant issue at some point during its life time. Just to clarify a couple of points that were not quite right in the story. *Tasmania has 100% inspection regime on solar systems * Optimisers and Micro inverters both offer protection against roof top fires. * Get your roof top isolators periodically inspected. https://www.abc.net.au//solar-fire-safety-concer/13115618
