23.01.2022 Week 7 of term 4 weeks to go including this week... loads of level changes last week so make sure you check how your swimmer is going. I know it feels like a big jump for some swimmers but parents we know they are ready and Im so proud of the progress this season. We like to finish out the season strong and its important to keep up the commitment to the end. Looking to extend a few more swimmers this week. *clip- our shark swimmers enjoy a little fun at the end of our lessons ... check out this header...see we get them ready to change over into soccer season bahaha

22.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder if you pay weekly at the pool kiosk and you miss a week the following week you must pay double. You have to pay for your childs spot if they come or not. My cost to hold that spot does not change. I still need to pay my swim teachers, for the pool hire, insurance etc If you are due a make-up (one per term) you can book that also. I really prefer that weekly payments are processed via bank transfer but if parents really prefer kiosk payments I need you to understand this is the terms & conditions of our enrolment. Those who pay the full term, your accounts and any balances are now due. Thank you

22.01.2022 No Shark lessons on a Wednesday so it is the perfect day for the little kiddies and/or the reluctant swimmer. I also have space for a 30min private lesson at 3:30-4pm

21.01.2022 Just an update on BLOCK lessons I have just about finished adding all who have messaged and commented requesting lessons for our Summer program. I still have loads of space because we have so many swim teachers available... which is BRILLIANT!! So please message if you haven’t already. ... I’m about to set our swim schedule and message everyone to confirm placement and lesson times. Please be sure to reply so I can confirm your swimmer on our Swim Schedule. I can’t hold those spots open. Once the schedule is completed any spots still available can still be booked and suitable classes will be offered for your swimmer. I encourage you to book now so you have the best chance to get siblings at the same time and/or to get the time of day you want. Not long now ... Summer

18.01.2022 I have not spoke with my teachers yet but Im sure they wont mind me speaking on their behalf. Its late. Thank you all so much for your support for our programs and allowing us the privilege of being part of your lives. Its a pleasure to do something that feels so meaningful to us with such wonderful families. - DNA Aquatics Unfortunately, we have all heard the press conference which now states all pools need to close by midnight tomorrow night. We will do all our p...rograms tomorrow and finish our season 7pm tomorrow night. In as much as we want to and need to stay fit, healthy and strong and keep what little we have left of sports & learning this virus is spreading so quickly it is now a risk to do that with others. A risk to all of us and we need to take serious measures to ensure we flatten the curve to keep everyone safe. Why? ... well I will post in the comment section two messages that really hit home at the enormity of this situation and the consequences for everyone. Its bloody heartbreaking. I want everyone to be safe and well so if that means following the government recommendations then that is exactly what we will do. Take care everyone. Xx We will see you all on the other side. Swimmers missing any paid in advance lessons for the one week and 2 days you will miss will be given a credit for next season. If you pay weekly you just dont need to now for any missed lessons. 17.01.2022 Guess who is on Sunrise tomorrow!!!??? Rose will be on air at 8:50am !!! Our Rosie is famous for being a fit older Adults pfftt we knew that .... didnt we!!... Now the rest of Australia wants to be in on the worst kept secret ever!!! Seriously, super proud of Rose being interviewed for essentially living a healthy, fit interesting life!! She inspires us everyday and its an absolute blast to know that our very own Wonder Woman of the pool is showing them how its done!! Donna x

16.01.2022 I’m about to sit down and work on swim schedule for our BLOCK LESSONS. If you haven’t already please message me now. Please also let me know your preference on time - early, mid or late morning. We start from 8am with the Sharkies going for 45-1hr as they are always first up. We have 30min lessons every half from 8am until lunch time for all other levels. Plenty of time to book, it’s just you will have a better chance getting the time you want if you get in early. ... $55 for a full week of lessons ($45 for DNA term swimmers) $5 discount off each block if you book and pay for all four

16.01.2022 Following Government advice and working within the guidelines of safe pool operations we wish to advise all our swim families we are going to, at this stage, continue our swim season as per the term. We have 3 weeks left and wish to notify you of the following changes. Infant lessons are cancelled as of Saturday the 14/3 If you have paid for a full term you are eligible to receive a $30 refund or credit (whichever you prefer). Please message with your details and I will... give you more information on how to process this. Our Easter break-up Party FRIDAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT will be cancelled. I would normally start advertising this but unfortunately although we dont have massive numbers it is still a large gathering. 11.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION We will start building our term 2 (school term 1) swim schedule from next week 11/1 Note it’s a little different with a 9 term instead of 10 - start Wednesday 27/1 and finish Tuesday 30/3. It gives us a buffer for weather make-ups and/or not slogging out the tired last week of school term ... To book you MUST fill in this online enrolment form https://form.jotform.co/92066923942867 Even returning student must fill this in as we will need all details updated. To be COVID SAFE all parents and extras must log in at pool entry with QR code but our swimmers will be tracked by us from our swimming schedule. Ensuring all enrolment details are correct and updated is extremely important for DNA Aquatics to be COVID COMPLIANT. I need the following information to complete your swimmer/s booking quickly and accurately. All information requested on online enrolment - swim ability and age preferred day/time and Which multiple days you wish for Sharks program teacher preference or instruction type suitable for each of your swimmers any conditions, injuries or concerns that impacts or will need to be taken into consideration when teaching your child to swim. *We use a discreet coloured Asterix system on our swimming sheets for this. payment method keeping in mind we required full term payment unless otherwise arranged by me. I am happy to be flexible but this needs to be organised before your swimmer/s can start. Keep in mind I’m a one woman show for the bookings. I do pour over my swim schedule (probably too much ) and genuinely look at each and every one of my swim kids. I absolutely make sure that every individual swimmer is given thought and consideration on where best to pop them on the swim schedule. I try my best. I have the most amazing team of swimming and water safety teachers and we love what we do!!! Your kids become our kids as soon as the walk through those pool gates. Please know I’m approachable ... I’m human and sometimes may over look something or don’t quite get it right or you may not understand my method in the madness please, come chat to me. I like to think I run a very different swim school to The traditional sense. My teachers give me the information I need about your swimmer. They are the ones in the pool and know their swim ability best. They help me decide how to develop your swimmer. I respect their knowledge and skill. I also respect parents knowledge about their own children. I observe and I connect. Between all of us we come up with the best possible learn to swim experience for all who swim at DNA *limited space is available for term two so it will be first in on receiving enrolments on schedule preferences. The full entry fee collected will be donated. It’s a great cause and this event is an opportunity to not only raise funds but also awareness. Being open to the idea that a kind word or conversation, especially this year, can make a real difference to someone battling within themselves. 3pm Sunday 22/11 - gates open from 2:30pm - all are welcome - COVIDSAFE procedures will continue to be in place. 05.01.2022 We have our COVIDSafe plan in place and are committed to provide all our participants an environment that is fully compliant with the public health directions. New season start date - Tuesday October 6th start date. New Swim season booking will commence from Monday the 7th of September. Our restrictions on participants numbers means we have very limited space available. Please make sure you get in early and book to avoid disappointment. ... 04.01.2022 As we reach the half way point of term and other sports and activities kick in I understand we feel the pressure. Please just come and chat with me or send me a message if you need to make any changes to your swimmers time/day. Ill do my best. What happened to the good old days of when one finishes and another starts. Pre-season training... To be honest my 8 year should have started soccer training but there was no way he is running around in this intense heat. Training can wait!! Also please write names on your swimmers fins. Make sure your swimmer is taking the correct fins also. We have had a mix up on Saturday so if you could just check you have the right fins please. I have a pair in the kiosk that belong to someone who picked up the wrong pair. Thanks Donna #bestlife

04.01.2022 We are still swimming It is one of the few things you can do with COVID-19 around. We are stuck at home. All our events are cancelled. We need to keep our kids active and holding on to whatever is still safe to do. We have already taken so much away. There is no reason to take swimming away. Again, I do stress you do what you think is best for your family from the information you research BUT please if you are no longer bringing your swimmers to lessons just let me know. I need to organise the swim schedule so it is effective and fun for those still swimming. Thanks Donna

03.01.2022 We are continuing with our swimming lessons and aqua fitness programs. Just a change to what time we open. The pool will be open from 5:30am Monday to Friday instead of 5am. No Baby lessons. Im sorry if the changes the government is enforcing impacts negatively for you and your family. Lets just hope these decisions really will keep everyone safe. Kindness matters. (6mths - approximately 3 years with parent/adult in the pool) I have very limited places starting Saturday 21/11 - we will do a little 4 week block $50 (paid in full at first lesson)... that is a lesson on the Saturday morning 21/11 - 28/11 - 5/12 - 12/12 Then we will swap to our HOLIDAY BLOCK scheduling and offer one lesson everyday for one week. 4 BLOCKS to choose from... No limit so do as many as you like. $45 (DNA enrolled swimmers or $55 per week / 5 lessons - $5 off each block if booking all of them. 01.01.2022 Government guidelines are still being followed. We are an outdoor facility and we have a turnover of classes well under the numbers stated for outdoor safety. Our class sizes are small and we always practice high hygiene standards. Our pool is a Queensland education pool and we have no doubt of the continued high quality of our pool water and maintenance by Qld Ed. ... We are continuing for the reminder of our swim term (2 weeks after this week) with the exception of baby classes (under 3s with parent/adult in the water) and have cancelled our end of season Friday Fun Night break up party. We are already looking forward to next season - starting State school term 4. We ask that you make decisions based on what is best for you and your family. We ask that you notify us of any changes to your families enrolment. We ask that you following the advice given from government officials when at DNA Aquatics. Most importantly we hope you stay well and we thank you for your continued support.
