We all know someone doing it tough or in a bit of a struggle so reach out see if he needs a hand, someone to talk threw some of his troubles or to just let him know if he needs you your there. You could also tell him about this group of blokes talking and supporting other blokes just like you and me. 09.01.2022 Well it's taken 9 weeks but it finally arrived... V8 powered silent compressor that I've been waiting on. With the old McMillan on its last legs now I'm ready to paint the town any color I choose hahaha

08.01.2022 A customer asked me how much it cost to paint his motorcycle.... I answered him: $ 3000 He said: So expensive for this job? I asked: How much do you think it would cost you? He answers me: $ 1500 maximum... That's a pretty simple job right? !"... - For $ 1500 I invite you to do it yourself. - But.... I don't know how to. - For $1500 I'll teach you how to. So besides saving you $1500, you'll get the knowledge for the next time you want - It seemed right to him and he agreed. - But to get started: you need tools: Sander, welder, sprayguns, airbrushes, materials, paint, etc... - But I don't have all those and I can't buy all of them for one job. - Well then for another $700 more I'll rent my stuff to you so you can do it. - Okay, he says. - Okay! Monday you can come in, should take you two to three weeks - But I can't on Monday I only have time today! - I'm sorry, but I'm only available Monday to teach you and lend you my stuff. Other days are busy with other customers. - Okay! That means I'm going to have to sacrifice my Monday, give up my tasks for two weeks? - I forgot. To do your job yourself, you also have to pay for the nonproductive factors. - What is that?" - Bureaucratic tax, rent, security, insurance, fuel, utilities etc. - Oh no!... But to accomplish these tasks, I'm going to spend even more money and waste more time! - ............................... - You know, I've been thinking. Y'all better do the job for me. I'd rather pay you the $3000 and have it done right. If I had to do it, it wouldn't be perfect and it would cost me a lot more. When you pay for a job, especially handcrafted, you pay not only for the material used, but also: - Knowledge - Experience - Study - Tools - Services - Time to go - punctuality - Accountability - Professionalism - Accuracy - Sacrifices - Safety and security - Payment of tax obligations No one can diminish other people's work by judging prices. Only by knowing all the elements necessary for the production of a certain work can you estimate the actual cost. I did not write this dialogue, but am sharing it to support craftsmen and entrepreneurs.
