25.01.2022 Some words from Cherie, a client of Danita’s for 3 years! A bit about her past and the improvements she’s seen since starting our program. Before beginning training with Danita, I was feeling tired and lethargic most of the time. I would often go all day only eating one meal. I’d have sugar cravings mid afternoon and look for a pick me up to get through the rest of the day. I had tried cardio programmes. Weights programmes. Restrictive dieting. But nothing worked long term.... I’d often lose weight early on only to put more back on. Since starting with DnD Fit I have managed to train and eat more consistently which has led to improvements not only in weight loss but in energy levels and my general well-being. I am now less affected by cravings and eat better types of foods. I have also suffered less injuries and am much stronger. Working with DnD Fit has helped me better understand the overall health and weight loss dynamic. Starving and depriving yourself doesn’t work in the long run. The programme is not a quick fix. It takes time to get used to. But if you commit to it Danita and Deb are there to help you, push you and keep you motivated to achieve your goals

24.01.2022 Once again this is what makes my day the 1% ers, this is exactly why I use videos and visual pics to show my clients there lifts. The first pic is the beggining of our sessions and the second pic is her last set. Really happy with Sheree’s progress and how she’s trying to get better every session. Great work Sheree.

23.01.2022 One of my amazing clients, going through the motions . We changed training up today to see where any of Lynda’s weaknesses were in her joints. There are not to many this is one strong lady. Always a pleasure to train her.

23.01.2022 Sisters who train together stay together Last day of training untill my holidays. Terrific work everyone I look foreward to coming back refreshed ready to tackle the New Year with you all .

So when the little person in side our head try’s to stop your grogression that training buddy keeps you from failing and doing those 1% ers and making you turn up. Great work ladies .

16.01.2022 MEL FINLAYSON - NOT USING COVID AS AN EXCUSE Mel joined our DnD Fit community at the peak of Qld’s COVID-19 restrictions and has lost a massive 14kgs since then! She was able to pull this off alongside full-time work and full-time parenting. Danita interviewed Mel to learn about her story and fitness journey, check it out below!

14.01.2022 New clients , old clients doesn’t matter which but there all looking for the same thing in the end, to look and feel better in themselves, for themselves. We have had a new group of ladies coming on board over the past few weeks but no one does anything differently to the other ladies who have already started. Only at different levels. Couldn’t be more proud of all of them just buckling down and doing it.

13.01.2022 Practise , practise , practice Rdl,s or Romanian deadlifts are somthing you you can do at home ladies and gents to build up the glutes and hamstrings. To get some real strength happening to help with that weak core and sore back. Breathing and bracing it can be a hard excersise for some and one of the hardest for others. Practise really does make it a natural strong movement.

13.01.2022 Friday training day, great work again girls .

11.01.2022 I’ve been working w Heather Beech (54)for a year now, I love her commitment, tenacity and consistency. She’s had two ankle reconstructions the last one in March this year. A total hip replacement (right side) the left side to be done nxt year. She is also Legally blind and was diagnosed w Type 1 diabetes a couple of months ago. She never uses any of these as an excuse and each session she does her absolute best. Her continued health and mobility is her priority.

11.01.2022 Public holiday training with the little man , watching his mummy getting strong.

10.01.2022 I love when it all comes together Sometimes at the beginning, women worry that they will never learn the correct technique to squat. But they always do Deb and I both love teaching and seeing our ladies progress. Thanks for letting me put you on the spot Jackie Lowe

10.01.2022 Tonight was 80 kg Squats for Emma , along with all the stability, strength and plain hard work on the leg press. We found Em trained a lot better tonight than sometimes early in the morning which is her her usual we put it down to well fueled with food, and her body was warmed up from working all day. Great work Em no fuss get in get out.

10.01.2022 Friday fun day, new client Louise learnt the basics today about the breathing and bracing and learning to keep tight through her lifts . Rest up over the weekend maybe a walk or two and back to repeat again next week.

10.01.2022 Finally back to my happy place, For years I would sprint these stairs every day on holidays as my start of rep season in touch footy. No I didn’t sprint today, But I did jog hard I don’t think the old body knows what a sprint is anymore. But it did feel hard and fulfilling, when you try to go back to where you enjoyed somthing that was hard and do it and still feel like you achieve somthing . That’s what it’s all about. I’m really sick of hearing about Covid this Covid th...at, it’s us that gets unmotivated not our circumstances. I had a heap of clients hang in there during Covid, I had new clients come on board and I started a new business that cost thousands both Danita and myself took a gamble but really it wasn’t ,we knew we would succeed because we love what we do and if sometimes it gets hard and we want to pack it in we go back to what we know and find our happy place again. That’s what excersice is all about. Enjoying it I love it when I have a client that says thanks that was a great session. Stop and have a think about why your not enjoying your sessions ,why are you even there really I could train people and take the money but it’s not just about the money it’s about you ,go back to where you feel good and start from there . We have a lot of ladies trying to find there way again you just have to go to where you remember what it felt like to feel happy and start from there again. Where here to help But!! We can’t do it for you so stop making excuses and get the change your looking for.

07.01.2022 First time at 60 kg not bad at 16 yrs old and only training once a week . After school holidays where going to train twice a week so I’m looking foreward to seeing how strong we can get Amber and the changes we can make in her shape . Amber has started to implement some better choices in her food which she is learning isn’t a diet just a better way of eating and that she doesn’t have to starve to death to make changes in her body just better choices.

07.01.2022 Sat morning early these sisters never miss a beat

06.01.2022 As tiny as Emma is she’s still a strong little mumma, Em trains twice a week with me and we don’t muck around at all she has no time to waste , a two yr old a husband, and her own successful business . The training is somthing that Em knows keeps her strong and able to cope with her busy life and it is a non negotiable. During Covid Em didn’t train for a few months so losing strength was inevitable but what’s amazing is how quickly we have nearly got her back to normal in such a short time. One thing I have noticed since Covid and shut down is that almost all ladies who couldn’t train heavier due to lack of weights are now building some real strength and out doing what there lifts were before Covid . Way to go ladies.

05.01.2022 Louise is new to weight training , but by the look of her deadlifts today you would never think so. Just really excited for her and her progress over the next few months. Great work out today Lou.

05.01.2022 10 yr old cooking bfast for Nan learning about the macros.

03.01.2022 It’s a process the 1%ers every session can you pick the difference ? The difference will be what determines the weight that’s picked up. Kate took another small step today in her learning of the deadlifts. Great work today Katie.

03.01.2022 This is officially the last session before my holidays. I’m back home packing the car then down the coast, to our beautiful beaches.

03.01.2022 It’s back to basics with this squat to build more stability and strength in the bottom position, teaching Amber not to be scared of depth and how to hold the brace longer.

02.01.2022 First session tonight for Sandie and Bek, they both did a great job it’s a process but you’ll never get anywhere if you don’t just start somewhere. Its a lot easier with a training buddy to help you keep on track, to turn up with, to obligate to and stop all the excuses it really makes it easier to to start with someone you know and help each other out.
