25.01.2022 THE END OF AN ERA. Today I handed over the keys to my first baby. I know it’s been a long time coming and don’t get me wrong I’m all kinds of relieved. But as I sit here knowing it is now all over between the Dawn parade salon and I, I can’t help but have a little cry. It’s been a great nine years, full of all the highs and lows you could possibly imagine. I’ve met some incredible people and clients that have become a part of my life as friends. I make fun of the judgy birds ...and the fact it was the oldest, tiniest salon in the world however I truely couldn’t be prouder of what it provided for me and the life lessons it taught me. Leading me all to today, opening Do or Dye 2.0. An absolutely stunning space that can truely provide the customer experience I always dreamed of. The biggest Thankyou from my whole heart to everyone who played a part from the builders/ tradesman, the design girls, to Ryan and I’s amazing families, my staff, my friends, my husband for trying to keep me sane ~ I was hanging on by a meer thread there for a moment. 09.01.2022 OK I’m beside myself! Literally in tears [ Ryan is laughing !] I’ve been a little nervous all day trying not to think about it BUT WE MADE IT!! We are IN THE @aushairindustryawards FINALS for boutique salon design. This is a MASSIVE deal for me personally, I have worked my butt off for 9 years to build up to be able to be in the salon we are today, to give my staff and my clients the most beautiful salon and customer experience possible! I am literally a little in shock. Anyo...ne who dealt with me last year knew I was a bit of a hot mess most days of the week, my husband working away and dealing with the salon build whilst running the current (now the old) plus juggling a toddler - it was a journey!!!
