25.01.2022 Rodents-Rats and Mice are pretty much like flat a tire on your car. You never take any notice of your tires - they are all around us but they are inert. Tires- Keep your tires at the correct pressure and change them if they are worn-easy. Rodents are rarely seen or noticed, but they are there too. Rodents- they are quite easy too, reduce harbourage [long grass, junk, overgrown hedges etc] cut back overhanging trees etc from roofs and place fresh baits [in stations like ours] once or twice a year.
19.01.2022 In the last 60 days we have been told of two homes that were badly damaged by rats or mice. One had the wiring in the roof start a fire-luckily an observant neighbor saw the smoke and raised the alarm. The second was flooded-plastic water supply pipes [a modern idea] in the roof caused a waterfall in the lounge room. Quite a surprise to wake up to water ankle deep in the hallway.

15.01.2022 Summer time is a peak time for snakes [well all reptiles] but people usually worry about snake encounters. To reduce snake numbers around your home, reduce snake food. Namely rodents -rats and mice. Reducing rodent activity reduces rodent smells, and many snakes just love the smell of rodents. The more rodents around the place the bigger the attraction to our snakey friends.
