23.01.2022 Wow - that was a big year! 2020 has thrown everything at us - bush fires, Covid, a dramatic US election and so much more. What has been evident throughout it all has been the Australian resilience, our capacity to adapt to ever-changing circumstances, and most importantly our ability to look after one another. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you in 2021. The Gympie office will be closed from 12 Noon Friday 18 December and Ipswich from Wednesday 23 December. We will reopen on Monday 4 January. Have a great Christmas and New Year.

23.01.2022 Feeling generous and considering gifting to friends or family this Christmas? Just keep in mind if you are a Centrelink recipient and your gift exceeds $10,000 in a year, or $30,000 over 5 years the additional amount will be added to your assets and you will be assessed accordingly. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/indivi//gifting/27276

23.01.2022 Most of us are partial to the odd New Year Resolution but financial resolutions are really about goal setting. We suggest getting serious and writing them down if you want to see a successful outcome at the end of the year.

22.01.2022 Are you a parent or grandparent looking for ways to entertain the children during the school holidays? This is a great show where the kids are given control of all of the family money for a month (imagine!!). They get to keep anything they manage to save for themselves. It brings up some great topics to talk to the kids about such as mortgages, insurance, fixed costs, and variable costs.

16.01.2022 Today we celebrate International Women's Day. We are very proud of the work we do in conjunction with the Fortnum Foundation to support the Love Mercy Foundation Cents for Seeds programme. Cents for Seeds is changing the lives of families in Uganda by empowering women and enabling them to provide for their families.... Women in Uganda are the caretakers for their families therefore, when you invest in women you are investing in their larger communities. Cents for Seeds offers women the opportunity to earn an income, which then turns into food, education, and health care. Each woman’s harvest generates 150kg of seeds on average, enabling them to keep a minimum of 130kg each for ongoing food security and economic profitability even after they return their principal seed loan, plus interest.

16.01.2022 The Ipswich office is getting a face lift! After 20 years we thought it was timely for a freshen up. Although this will continue for the next few weeks, It's still business as usual and we look forward to seeing you for your upcoming meetings or to just drop in and say hi.

08.01.2022 The brains trust! Our advisers, Nat, David and Ryan catch up regularly. You can be assured that they are always looking for new ways to be sure they are providing clients with the best possible outcomes. Don't forget that it is always good to review your financial plan if your circumstances have changed. Get in touch.

05.01.2022 When our life circumstances change it is not unusual to feel out of your comfort zone, unsure of your path forward, or even overwhelmed. A delightful single man called Mark came to see us recently seeking advice after losing both of his elderly parents in close succession. Mark had been doing some deep thinking about how he really wanted to live his life. Covid and losing his parents had given him a different perspective on what was important. He needed to know what was possible so we helped him come up with a plan.
