23.01.2022 6 weeks of this !

23.01.2022 No dog training into lockdown for 6 weeks, now it’s catchup on the Lassie series! Never liked Rin tin tin.Hudson & Rex is great.

22.01.2022 Hi DDOC Members, I hope you and your family remain healthy and safe as we head back into lock down. I am very disappointed to be the bearer of bad news and advise that we will be unable to return to training for at least another six weeks taking us pretty much to the end of August. This time, I am particularly frustrated because it felt like we were so close to returning as I was just days away from agreeing a return to training protocol with the Monash Council. With the Stat...e Government raising the level of restrictions, the Monash Council has once again taken away our access to the clubrooms. Can I please implore you to do the right thing and stay at home unless absolutely necessary to keep yourself, family, friends and the rest of the community healthy and safe? As this period of lockdown will take us to the end of August, we will be unable to hold our AGM which was scheduled on the 14th of August. We will delay this until after we return and ensure we provide you with enough time to nominate yourself to a position on the Committee. I hope you have maintained your dog training routine and I am expecting to see vastly improved obedient dogs when we return!! Please reach out via our gmail address ([email protected]) if you have any specific questions or concerns. I will touch base again as soon as I know anything new. Please continue to look after yourself along with your families and friends and we look forward to seeing you back at the club as soon as possible. Thanks, Mark Stevens (President)

19.01.2022 Hi DDOC Members, I hope you, your family and friends remain healthy and safe as you take advantage of some of the relaxed restrictions. As anticipated, I regret to inform you that it will not be practical to return to training this year. Even though access to our clubrooms is now possible, the size restrictions and hygiene protocols required would make it very difficult for us to run our regular classes in an effective and safe manner....Continue reading

05.01.2022 Trick or treating is soon!

03.01.2022 Hi DDOC Members, I hope you, your family and friends remain healthy and safe as we continue to endure this lock down. I am sorry to report that all indications point to the fact that we will be unlikely to return to training this year. Monash Council are yet to allow us to return to our clubrooms and this appears unlikely to change until November at the earliest. The State Government is restricting the size and make up of groups gathering in outdoor areas which would make it ...impossible for us to run training sessions in an effective manner. The numbers would be severely reduced requiring us to potentially stagger classes of shorter duration and requiring members to vacate the grounds as soon as they completed their class. We would not be able to provide any canteen facilities. This would not be an enjoyable way to operate as we would not be able to catch up and chat over a coffee. Based on the above timeline, we will be unable to hold our AGM this year. Assuming we can recommence next year, I would anticipate that we would look to hold the AGM in April. This will enable us to give you enough notice of when the meeting will take place and give you time to submit your applications to join the committee. As the Committee’s attention turns to next year, could I please get an indication from our members via return email as to whether you plan to return to the club next year. I know the frustration continues to build the longer we are in lockdown, but can I please implore you to do the right thing and stay at home unless absolutely necessary to keep yourself, family, friends and the rest of the community healthy and safe? I hope you have maintained your dog training routine and I am expecting to see vastly improved obedient dogs when we return!! Please reach out via our gmail address ([email protected]) if you have any specific questions or concerns. I will touch base again if anything changes or to sign off for the year. Please continue to look after yourself along with your families and friends and the Committee look forward to seeing you back at the club as soon as possible. Thanks, Mark Stevens (President)

02.01.2022 ***UPDATE*** There has been an overwhelming response to these two little boys. Sharon will need time to process all the applicants. NO MORE ENQUIRIES AT THIS ST...AGE PLEASE. We will let you know as soon as we have a confirmed update. It was so wonderful to see our community rally together to spread the word to help this family in their time of need. Heartfelt thanks to all of you! ‘Gimmo’ (grey) and ‘Jimmy’ (white) are two little 9 year old brothers who are in urgent need of a loving home. Tragically, their owner recently passed away and his family can only care for them temporarily. They are not desexed. It is preferred to keep them together. There is a possibility of them being desexed prior to adoption. (To be discussed with their Carer). If you are interested in adopting these two boys, please email Sharon: [email protected] **Please note that ALL enquires are to be directed by email to Sharon. ** Clinic source number: EE102783 Gimmo - 900012000833281 Jimmy - 900012000833164
