Founded by Herbert Alfred Mick Dobson in 1945, Dobsons continues to offer a wide range of masonry services under the helm of third generation Manager, Andrew Dobson. Once the norm, the family owned and operated business is something we see less and less of in Tasmania. We however, couldnt be more proud of our familys legacy working from our workshop in Moonah. ... In our 75th year Dobsons is showing no signs of slowing down with Andrews son Shaun Dobson now fully qualified in the trade and taking on more responsibility. When Mick started the business in 1945 there were nine other monumental stonemasons working in the Hobart area. While competitors have come and gone we have remained steady on our mission to provide the highest quality work and build strong relationships with our loyal customers. While the core trade skills remain the same, the business looks a little differently to how it did in Micks time. Over the years we have expanded our team, invested in new technology and diversified our services to now include benchtops, splashbacks and outdoor areas. This year we want to say a big thank you to all those who have supported us.
