23.01.2022 Monday March 23rd, 2020. Presidents announcement to Members of Ducati Owners Club NSW. Dear Members,... I am sure by now you are all very much aware of the impact of Coronavirus COVID 19, that is impacting on our Australian way of life and many others across the world at this time. Australians are just entering the first phase of the virus entering our communities. Medical Professionals are emphasising the importance of isolating and distancing socially, over the next few months until cases of infection are contained and new cases are reduced. As the President of the Ducati Owners Club NSW, I have an obligation to you as members, to make sure you are not exposed to any greater risk during the course of any rides and events that DOCNSW may organise. Many of us are already distancing and minimising contact with others, but there are others who do not. During discussions with our Committee in recent days, and the first phase of Government restrictions on gatherings in Cafes, Pubs, Clubs and restaurants, the Committee feels our obligation is to cease all events and rides organised by the DOCNSW in the short term, (3 months) or until such time that Government and Medical professionals advise the risk of further widespread infection has passed. This is not a decision made lightly, but I feel is in the interest of all concerned to assist everyone through this very difficult time. I would encourage you to stay in contact with friends and other members by Facebook and Email or telephone, and Im sure many of you will go out and have rides on your own or possibly a friend or two. The less contact you have FACE to FACE the more you will help your community through this crisis. The life of the virus will end! But we want our members to work through this until we come out the other side and we have the joy of riding as a Ducati Family once again safely! And I personally want to see you there on the next ride! The DOCNSW newsletter will still come out on the first of the month and you will be updated on any developments on our plan for the future. All organised rides are now on hold until we receive advice from Government and Medical professionals that we can organise meetings and rides with safety. The DOCNSW Committee take your health and well being very seriously, and we will be back on the road with you bigger and better with more great events and rides as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your generous support and understanding, and we will be riding all together again soon. Look after your friends and family and of course yourself! If you have further questions on this matter, please contact your Club President. E. [email protected] Yours Sincerely. Scott Gibson. President. Ducati Owners Club NSW.

So please head in from 8:30 onwards for a good spot in our area.... Please go to the event and click on the "going" tab, so we can gauge numbers. We are also looking for club volunteers to help out for an hour or two through the day, to man the merchandise store, or with set up and pack down. Let us know if you can help.
