24.01.2022 Wonderful. What feels wonderful to you today?

21.01.2022 Day 12, final 24km and we are done. Phew! Home via train feels like a fitting end to our epic rail trail adventure. Are you happy to be at the end of something?

21.01.2022 Elevated. What makes you feel elevated?

14.01.2022 Have you wondered what I have been doing in the three months since my last post? Read on and you'll find out. If you read right to the end, you’ll find out why*. Hiked the Cooloola Great Walk (5 days walking, 4 nights camping) Coached my 8 wonderful and loyal, long-term clients Swam about 72km in the ocean (2km at a time) Coached 7 great leaders at a school in Brisbane... Had our daughter visit for a week from Mt Isa Climbed Mt Ninderry 48 times (not all in the one go!) Did my first patrol as a life saver at Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club Published an article in Great Walks magazine (on sale in newsagents now) Explored Carnarvon Gorge with my husband Richard Hiked the Fraser Island Great Walk (6 days, 5 nights) Attended my 40-year high school reunion So that’s what these three months looked like for me. *Why did I do all this? Because everything felt good to do. Everything required effort and some things really stretched me. And they all had their own rewards. I feel more centred, appreciative, and loving. Plus, I am fitter and stronger. What have you been doing? How has your wellbeing been enhanced?

07.01.2022 Progress and completion feel different. This month I: 1. Created a positive psychology coaching program for a finance company and it hasn’t started yet 2. Decluttered and reorganised 14 cupboards and there’s still 6 to go 3. Prepared a talk about health and wellbeing for a women’s group and I don’t present until tomorrow... 4. Wrote an article about staying positive in 2021 and it won’t be published until December 5. Booked a trip to Stanthorpe and Girraween and we don’t leave till later in the month Lots of effort went into each of these and so far nothing is complete. The way to feel good amongst all these unfinished projects is to acknowledge myself for all the achievements along the way. What do you do to acknowledge your small steps and achievements along the way? See more
