22.01.2022 Your phone might be home to more germs than you know. Viruses can survive on surfaces which are touched often, including bench tops, remote controls, door ha...ndles, mobile phones, toilets, tables and toys. 21.01.2022 Live in Brisbane? Please have a look at the below results of the COVID19 contact tracing and monitor yourself closely for symptoms. Get tested immediately if you start to become unwell. Our staff will be encouraging telehealth over the next few weeks wherever possible and we have stepped up our personal protection measures for staff and patients. Safety for staff and patients is our number one priority. If you present to us you will be required to put on a mask and use alcohol gel. Our staff will be wearing masks also and practicing hand hygiene regularly as we always do. Stay safe everyone.

20.01.2022 Recognising a stroke early is very important. Have a look at these signs. If in doubt, ring 000.

20.01.2022 We get this question a lot, especially following the requirement for people to wear face masks in other parts of the country. Face masks can be a useful measur...e to help control sustained community transmission. Sustained community transmission is when we have multiple cases of locally acquired COVID-19 where contact tracing and testing is unable to identify how the person was infected. At the moment, there is no evidence to suggest that Queensland has any sustained community transmission. If you live in the greater region of Brisbane, a face mask might be suitable if: You are in a situation where social distancing cannot be maintained, i.e. public transport or a busy shopping centre If your GP has told you to wear one If you are caring for someone who has COVID-19 If you are attending a GP clinic, hospital or ED If you are sick and getting a COVID-19 test Face masks alone will not protect you from COVID-19. It is also vital that other COVID safe practices are followed, including: Washing hands often and thoroughly Maintaining a social distancing Covering coughs or sneezes Staying at home if unwell Getting tested if youre showing any signs of COVID-19.

18.01.2022 Nice work, Queensland! Because of your great work in following good hygiene practices, socially distancing and getting the flu shot, flu numbers this year are s...ignificantly lower than what they have been in the last five flu seasons and are 84% lower than this time last year! Research suggests that Queenslanders have greatly improved their hygiene practices, which has helped to stop the spread of flu in our community.

14.01.2022 Our new temporary home. Well we have had quite the afternoon & evening! We were informed that we are not permitted to stay in our current location inside Terry White Chemmart until our move to our beautiful new site in about 11 days time and needed to vacate in a rush by today. Thanks to our incredible team, our wonderful IT support crew (Shadowsafe) and generous support by the Westfield team, we have been able to relocate to a new temporary site! Our beautiful receptionist... Tammy even gave up her birthday evening to help achieve this massive task. Our interim home is on the ground floor, next to 1300Smiles and opposite S & N pathology. You walk past Best & Less on your left and follow it down the left corridor. We look forward to caring for our patients in this space, despite the temporary disruption. Please ring us with any questions on 0731359898. Once again, we thank our patients for their wonderful support. We will be texting or ringing our booked patients to inform them of this temporary location.
