18.01.2022 SKIN CHECKS Skin cancers are not always obvious. They can come in many different forms and colours.... Checking your own skin regularly can help to identify early skin cancers, and it is important to learn how to do it properly. However, many skin cancers are only obvious when examined with a special magnifying lens called a dermatoscope. A full skin examination by a trained, experienced doctor can diagnose skin cancers early when they can be treated easily and even cured.

11.01.2022 For many people, the festive season is an exciting time to connect with others and celebrate. But for others, it can be the most stressful time of the year. If you’re feeling alone or lonely, it’s important to reach out and talk to someone. Sometimes it’s difficult to talk about what’s going on but it could be as simple as sending a text, a message on social media, inviting someone over for a cuppa or making a phone call. If you’resupporting someonewho has anxiety or depression these holidays it’s important tolook after yourselftoo. // @worrywellbeing

10.01.2022 Do you know your STI status 2021? Tests for sexually transmittable infections are painless, quick and necessary for safe sex. A standard STI test involves a urine sample and, if you have any visible symptoms, a visual examination by the nurse or doctor.... Sometimes a swab test may also be taken. For the swab test, a cotton bud will be used to take a few cells from the vagina, penis or mouth. Only HIV and syphilis tests need a blood sample.
