25.01.2022 The new Executive Committee has been unveiled for the Asian Dodgeball Federation. Dodgeball Federation Australia would like to congratulate everyone that was nominated, and ultimately elected for their respective roles. It's an exciting time for Asian Dodgeball, and we look forward to a successful future. We would also like to extend our best wishes to our very own, Chris White who has played an active role within the DFA since our inception. "I'm extremely grateful to all who nominated me to this position, it's an honour to be able to continue to serve the Asian Dodgeball Community. Finally I'd like to thank Dodgeball Federation Australia for the support over the years, and I look forward to continuing a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with the DFA." - Chris White.



24.01.2022 The World Dodgeball Association has confirmed the postponement of the 2020 World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it wasn’t appropriate for the event to proceed in July. The 2020 World Cup is now scheduled to take place from Monday, December 7 Saturday, December 12. Given the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus, we will have further updates in due course over the coming weeks and months.... Due to the current climate, all DFA programs have been suspended until further notice. The health and safety of our players, staff, volunteers and event organisers is of the utmost priority. Please stay safe during these challenging times, and together we will all get through this.

National Championships - Saturday, March 21 (Mixed - Foam & Cloth Divisions) Uni Championships - Sunday, March 22 (Mixed - Foam Division) ... Registrations close Monday, March 16. This year's event will have professionally installed sports flooring at the Dodgeball Arena (example pic below). 22.01.2022 We are excited to release the 2020 University Dodgeball program, proudly supported by UniSport Australia. This year, we will once again host the Uni Championships at the Arnold Sports Festival Australia (ASF), along with an expanded Uni League season beginning in May. UNI CHAMPIONSHIPS: This event will take place on Sunday, March 22 at the ASF - Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Players and staff will receive a pass prior to entry into the venue (free entry into the ...ASF). We will once again have the opportunity to meet and take a photo with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Dodgeball arena during the weekend. UNI LEAGUE: Following the success of last year’s inaugural Uni League, we will see an expanded 2020 season, beginning in May, with rounds to take place on a monthly basis, concluding with Finals in October. Both the Uni Championships & Uni League Season are accessible to all Universities across Australia. Universities can submit multiple teams if they wish. 19.01.2022 Our Victorian Dodgeroos Trials will be held this Saturday at Aqualink Box Hill, 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Only $10 per person. Opportunities are not limited to the Australian Dodgeroos. We are looking to build state squads from which we can develop the talent in our national pathways. All players who trial will have the chance to... make both the national squad and their state squad. This year the Dodgeroos are competing in four categories at the World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. The Under 21’s from July 13 - 14, and Women’s, Mixed and Men’s from July 16 - 18. If you have any questions regarding the trial, please let us know. We hope to see you there on Saturday!

18.01.2022 The DFA had the pleasure to be involved in the Laurimar Sporting Club's Bushfire Fundraiser. A total of $9,000 was raised towards Doreen CFA, to help the local communities affected by the bushfires around Victoria. We donated Australian Dodgeroos merchandise into the club's silent auction, which proved to be a massive hit on the night. We thank everyone for their generosity, and allowing us to be involved in this great event.

18.01.2022 The Australian Institute of Sport recently launched its Framework for Rebooting Sport during this COVID-19 pandemic. We have been in consultation with Sport Australia on how this framework impacts Dodgeball, and when we can expect our sport to resume activity (competitions and training) in a safe and timely manner. Like other sports, the AIS will formulate a dedicated recommendations and guidelines chart for Level A, B, C activities on the resumption for Dodgeball. This is a ...step by step process, which allows us to plan accordingly for our sport. Conduct of any sporting activity in a COVID-19 environment is subject to regulations of Federal, State and Local Public Health Authorities. 09.01.2022 Following correspondence with the Arnold Sports Festival Australia organisers, this weekend’s event has been postponed, with a new date to be confirmed in due course. As you’re all well aware, the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 Virus, and its impact of our community has left us in uncharted territory. From today, the Federal Government has banned all non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people, amid fears about the spread of the coronavirus. The health and well-bei...ng of our athletes, staff, volunteers and the general public is of utmost priority. The junior programs, Victorian Dodgeroos Trials, DFA National Championships and Uni Dodgeball Championships will be rescheduled at a later date. Thank you for your understanding and patience. 07.01.2022 As COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease across the country, the Return to Sport Roadmap, developed by Sport Australia is a useful tool for all sporting organisations to adhere to. Return to Sport Roadmap: https://bit.ly/2ZwhPNC This toolkit includes a suite of resources to help sporting organisations get ready to recommence training, competitions and programs in a safe, responsible and low risk manner.... We are awaiting further advice on how and when Dodgeball can resume in a safe and timely manner. We will continue to follow the guidance of the Federal & State Governments, Sport Australia and relevant Health Authorities. When we have further updates regarding Dodgeball's return to play, we will inform all our members of the latest developments.
