25.01.2022 This week is waterways and water bodies because it looks like wonderful weather for swimming coming up!

24.01.2022 Window, Window, Window, the smallest shop with so many books. H is for Hawk comes highly recommended and there is an amazing book of 1001 songs which is kind of incredibly interesting when it comes to remembering great musical works.

23.01.2022 Check out all these great kids books that have come in! It’s a great time to start Christmas shopping *wink wink*

22.01.2022 Lots of exciting fresh YA stock about to go outside to the trolleys so be sure to get in quick before it's gone!

21.01.2022 Happy Tuesday! Wait no that's wrong. It's Thursday. What even is time anymore.

20.01.2022 We have just had a load of new craft books arrive, yes they are actually new, arrive in the shop. Looking good...

20.01.2022 As this year seems to being going way too fast and events keep sneaking up on me I thought I would get ahead and get one over this year. So I decided to do a red and green Christmassy theme for the table to really get ahead. I'm not really sure if this is how it works but hey I'm counting it as a win.

17.01.2022 Ok yes I know Trent Dalton and Jane Harper appear again, but I promise to get more creative next week with window displays. The Ned Kelly and Julian Assange books look tempting and for you Nora Roberts fans, here is the new one out in time for Xmas...

17.01.2022 Dog of the week! As the sign in the window says, ‘Dogs Welcome, People Tolerated’

16.01.2022 The Long Weekend stretch’s north along Pennant Hills Rd and this week brings a new window display at the end of a busy week. Hopefully we will see some new titles arrive as we come into the Christmas release period. Trent Dalton gets an extra spot this week and hopefully there is something here for everyone...

16.01.2022 Well just a shout out that we are in overflow in our Biography section. Also, I couldn’t find anything on Friday 13th....

16.01.2022 We have just had this series of Miller’s Collectables come in. For any collectors out there, this is really helpful for your price guides, feel free to make an offer...

14.01.2022 Here is the much requested (and my much I mean one person asked for it) least favourite book covers that I found this week. As a disclaimer this is super subjective and actually says nothing about the quality off the book. This is just my personal preference. Happy reading!

13.01.2022 It’s formal season so our table this week is featuring covers with fancy outfits! It’s a little biased towards dresses, sorry suit wearers. Also I am yet to see a cover featuring a fancy jumpsuit...

12.01.2022 I have been flicking through this little book and found it a wonderful jolt to the Xmas spirit. Samuel Johnson has got a giant list of celebrities and got them to write a letter to Santa each and the results a quite lovely. The book was done to increase funds for cancer research so it truly in the Xmas spirit

12.01.2022 There are a lot of new releases in book world as we move into Xmas. We had a lot to choose from from all the incoming books this week so hopefully there is something here that captures your imagination. Hope to see you all this week...

12.01.2022 Look at this cool debossed title on 1984! I thought someone had taped over the original title but with closer inspection it's part of the cover design.

11.01.2022 Another double to pick the best cover. I know which one I prefer. What a popular book that I am sure the Musical helped boost in popularity

10.01.2022 Since Georgia posted about books with pretty covers, I decided to take it as a theme for the table! Which one do you think is the prettiest? I’ve always liked Daniel Silva’s covers...

09.01.2022 As the songs says, Dogs are the best people. Just one of our morning visitors today. He must have heard about Dog Eared Books online ha ha...

09.01.2022 Welcome to a sunny Sunday. There is plenty of good new Oz fiction coming out lately and as we come into Xmas new releases are popping into the shop. Stay tuned...

07.01.2022 Perhaps two books of inspiration, this copy just came in by Julia Baird and it’s a great read. Phosphorescence is both personal and full of great stories of inspirational people, much like the Leigh Sales book. Jacinta Ardern speaks for herself...

07.01.2022 Don’t forget to check out our website to find old and hard to find titles. Here is one that was discovered today...

05.01.2022 Luckily we have air conditioning in the shop. This weeks window has a few favourites of mine. There is an amazing Andy Warhol book that is a real Collectors edition. Stephen Fry’s Greek mythology explanations in Mythos and the 1001 movies you must watch is possibly the heaviest book I have ever carried. Julia Baird’s book also popped in yesterday. Hope to see you this week...

04.01.2022 People often ask me what my favourite book is and I just remembered how much I loved this book. Wuthering Heights has everything and really takes romance to a heightened destructive level. Also, being a huge Kate Bush fan makes me love it just a bit more. The more I think about it I realise it was such a dark and heartbraking tale. It totally deserves to be on our classics shelves. Now which cover do you like the most?

04.01.2022 Whilst we don't condone judging books by their covers... I'm going to do it anyway. Here are my favourite book covers I've found this week!

04.01.2022 Blue covers and female authors on light of Joe Biden’s election and America’s first female VP!

03.01.2022 The books that lose the window seat on the plane this week. Back into cramped economy for these authors

01.01.2022 We have received a copy of this title which has been highly sought after, hope this finds a new owner
