20.01.2022 Today my husband and I with our two guide dogs had another near miss with an electric car. We were crossing a side road and it came in off the main road and pas...sed very close in front of us. If it’d been a petrol or diesel engine, or if it’d had a sound emitter fitted, we’d have heard it, but, apart from the sound of the tyres on the road, it was virtually silent. I am a confident guide dog handler but I can honestly say that silent electric vehicles scare me. I fear that it will take serious injury to a blind person, or even worse, death, before any meaningful legislation is put into place. If it happens to me or someone that I care about, I’ll be in court and I won’t rest until we have justice. So please, if you drive an electric vehicle, switch on your sound emitter. After all, you wouldn’t drive at night without your lights on, it’s the same thing. Many people will like this post but please don’t. I ask anyone who would have hit the like button to please hit the share button instead and pass this far and wide. I fear for our lives and those of these two amazing dogs.

17.01.2022 We are in urgent need of foster carers for dogs and cats, we are turning people away, people that are needing to leave domestic violence situations, people ...who are homeless on the street, people who have no family who have had a stroke and in hospital. The last two weeks we have had a huge spike in domestic violence cases. The last thing these people need is to lose their companion animals. Help us keep people and pets together, help us reduce surrender, help us reduce euthanasia of family pets, help us reduce trauma on already traumatised families, children. 15.01.2022 Today is my last official day in the salon for 2020. I can’t thank enough the local businesses, community groups and associations who have supported and guided me through my first year as Nails To Tails and of course my wonderful doggy customers and their humans. You are all very special to me. I will be taking a short break over Christmas, returning on 4th January and also some time with my family from 11th-19th January. I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas. I’m looking forward to seeing you all again in the New Year. Kim

Over the next few weeks we will have 100 special dogs available for adoption Mostly small breeds..., we’re hoping to rehome these rescued dogs into their forever homes. Prices are from $475, including desexing, microchipping and vaccinations. Please look at their online profiles for individual prices, personalities and needs. Please note that many of these dogs have ongoing grooming, medical and/or behavioural needs. Bookings are essential. We will be opening appointments for Saturday at 4:30pm TODAY. Appointments for Sunday will open at 3:30pm on Saturday. Additional appointments will open each day (until all are adopted) at 4:30pm on weekdays and 3:30pm on weekends. Kingdom Pets brand from Costco is one of them. Also certain Blue Buffalo brand pet foods have a recall for the same thing. Please re post and make sure all your doggie friends are aware of this.
